    Traveling

So last night I planned a vacation to NYC on June 19-21. I had surgery the 10th of May. Obviously, never being to New York before (I'm from Miami) I know there are lots of foods to try and plan on using one of those 2 days as a "treat myself" day. What do you think around that time I'll be able to eat? That will put me, if I do the math correct (although I failed it in highschool lol) about 5 weeks post op. I just need some help pre planning Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Support

Okay so this really isn't a question or anything but just looking for support. I've had at least 3 breakdowns today wondering if this surgery was the right choice for me. I know I should look at it long run and know that in the end it'll be worth it but right now it doesn't seem that way. I'm having such a hard time with finding things I like to eat, trying new things and keeping my mind off of living to eat instead of eating to live. I just need some uplifting words, yes I am still a teenager living at home and both my parents were sleeved 3 years ago but bringing up to my mom for help and having her give suggestions that I don't like she gets upset with me and then tells me not to ask her for help so I've stopped. You guys are like my family so I need the help and support from you guys as well as silly as that sounds Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Binge eating... pre op

Just think about your life in the long run when you have the craving to binge eat. That's what I did and that's what helped me. Think of where you'll be at a year from now when this is all over. You'll think then "I should have done this sooner!" It's all in your mind, and you have the willpower to overcome this obstacle to better yourself not only health wise, but physically and mentally as well! Giving up has never given anyone success so push along and I promise the results in the end are soooooo worth it! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Normal?

Is it normal to be 10 days out and a Protein shake of about 3 ounces make you sneeze from being full? Lol I'm still trying to grasp the concept of how liquids can make someone so full! I start purees on Monday and am still trying to prepare my mind for the possible pain and realization that I won't be able to take in as much as before Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Full?

What does being full feel like to most of you? I've realized that before surgery I never let myself get satisfyingly full it was either I was full enough to where I couldn't move or I was still hungry so I've never know what being satisfied and stopping feels like. When i drink my Protein shakes, which I've only seemed to get down 6 ounces (which I hope that's normal is it?) I start burping like crazy and then get this feeling like someone has stuck a boulder in my stomach. Is that the sign I'm looking for? Or should I keep drinking? I just don't want to cause any damage... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    May 9th-13th sleevers

Sleeved may 10th and today has been my hardest day. I can only get down 4 ounces of a Protein shake and I'm stuffed for the day. Idk what to do anymore, I sip on Water and Powerade zero throughout the day but I don't know how to reach anywhere near my protein goals Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. Hey everyone, I'm new to this and this is my first post so hey y'all! I was sleeved on 05/10 and make one week tomorrow! I'm still on liquids for another week and then can start my puréed foods. Though, when I drink my Protein shakes or anything besides Water really I get this weird gurgling sound... Something I can only relate as to the sound a bath tub makes when it's emptying haha. Does anyone else experience this? Is this normal? And will it ever go away? It's kind of uncomfortable when I know I'm getting full but other than that it's annoying!! Again thank you for everyone who answers because I'm just a young girl trying to find answers!
