I ride a road bike and can take 15-40 mi rides. Starvation is a great app for running and riding. You can visit with online friends and set up runs and rides of all types. Check it out. There is a free version.

Lisa Carr reacted to swimbikerun in Bariatric athletes/triathletes
How about a group or place or forum for those who are looking to compete? This can be in any sport. This means timed 5K's, marathons, half, triathlons, you name it.
This would be a group for support for those entering and those who want more information and want to enter. Get involved! Get out there and keep weight off, get off old habits, get used to a more active life and see yourself as the athlete you can be or are.

Lisa Carr got a reaction from KristenLe in Pre-op diet day one
Well, I would love to have a specific day, I am converting from lap band to bypass. Did the pre op 3 days went fine however, when it came to laparoscopicly taking out the band all went well unfortunately, Dr said I was so small and tight, he could not do the bypass laproscopically. So he removed the band woke me up and he told me I will need to loose at least 15 or 20 lbs being ideal before he can go back in and try laproscopically approach again. What a huge bummer at first, but I am 5 days into a 700 cal liquid diet and more motivated! Glass half full.... Literally. 20 is a big number for me at 53 and in menopause. Just really want to avoid the big incision bad pain and more scarring. I am a new member and believe strongly in the power of positive thought. If you guys could think or give me some + feedback I would appreciate it so much. Wishing I could lose 20 lbs in 3 weeks but, seems tough, has anyone done it? Sorry post so long... Lisa
