There is an evening support group on the 3rd Monday of the month at St Clare's in Lakewood. 6:30pm-7:30pm. Some people go to both, and same nutritionists and subjects. Hope that helps. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

@@PNWsleever It's the second Tuesday each month, from 1pm to 2pm. I really look forward to it. We also bring in Protein and Vitamins that didn't agree with us or we have extra to share, so it's an opportunity to try things without wasting $! Boy waiting for insurance approval is a pain. Hope they come thru soon! Okay I have to say this since you are local and all...Go Hawks!

No he didn't, just light meals the day before and fasting overnight before the surgery. If I remember right. Was very minimal. My surgery was mid afternoon. Sent from my KFMEWI using the BariatricPal App

. I had Dr Houseworth as well! He is very skilled. My sister in law used to work in ICU and she spoke to a surgery tech who sang Dr H's praises. He said he would not hesitate to have Dr. Houseworth operate on anyone he loves. He is very good and that was my experience too. Hope you have a smooth recovery! That's a good question. One thing I've learned from these online support groups is each Dr varies in instructions on eating and care after surgery. Follow those steps for introducing various levels of food to the letter, if you can, so your tummy can heal properly and to lessen any discomfort you might have. You have to figure out a routine to get the Water, Protein and Vitamins in. I feel lucky that I have had no vomiting or pain issues. My endocrinologist told me a week ago that I am no longer diabetic, and the 2 meds I was on for that have been gone since day before surgery. Off of one BP med, two more to go. My energy level is great. I am walking for exercise right now due to some arthritis issues but will soon be hitting the gym, my energy level is great. I don't know if it was me you asked about results so far but I don't mind sharing, lol, we are all in this together.I weighed 310 at my first consult in May,

So I lost 25 prior to surgery and 27 since, not a superstar amount like some, but similar to most in a support group I'm in for August sleevers. I'm happy with it and the health improvements. The hospital part goes fast and before you know it you are home learning to take care of your new tummy.
Take the instruction about lifting seriously, been hearing some bad results when people didn't, like bleeding from seemingly healed incisions. Boy I don't know if any of my info is helpful, but if you have any questions that I can help with, ask. Not medical expertise type stuff! More like, she's just been thru it, she'll know, type stuff.

I am scheduled to be sleeved August 10th. This is my 1st post although I have been lurking since May. Lol. I have a question, when we state our stats do we list our HW as our heaviest weight ever or our weight at first appt with the surgeon or? I live in Kent, WA a suburb of Seattle. Excited about August 10th date, it's 5 days after my 62nd birthday.

I think you can put whichever you want. Lots of people lose weight during the process of the supervised diet and all, so not every pound lost you see on profiles is from only the surgery.
