First Consult! Husband jumping the supportive ship...
Fredbear replied to Smdnght28's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
And your husband is a licensed medical doctor or surgeon, right? "When all is said and done, usually more has been said than done. " -
Sleeve scheduled on 10/6! So nervous
Fredbear replied to Boudala's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good luck! You'll do just fine. "When all is said and done, usually more has been said than done. " -
Only idiot I see is ^. You know they make these things called phones, pads, tablets, that allow you to hook up to wifi and watch shows while, on the treadmill etc. they even have them setup on stationary equipment as well as mounted on the wall. Think outside the box. It's a box for idiots to watch Doesn't matter if you're watching in front of the box itself or on a proxy device. It's still a passive activity.

Don't care. Surgery is going to give me an extra 0-50 years and I sure as hell am not going to waste them staring at the idiot box. Besides, I'm sure a huge portion of the people here can blame a good part of their weight gain on a sedentary idiot-box-watching lifestyle in the first place.

Totally. "When all is said and done, usually more has been said than done. "

Congratulations on being smart enough to realize that! Too many people have no idea how infection really works. Others call every little cold "the 'flu".

What's the skinny on coffee?
Fredbear replied to The New Kel's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I gave up caffeine when I started the pre-surgery process. I slee p much better now, and have more energy and better concentration than when I was "caffeinated." You should probably clarify what you mean by "coffee" as well. I know some people who claim to drink "coffee" but really are drinking "coffee-flavored milkshakes" with more calories than a fist full of Big Macs. -
Ahhh, another fact-resistant human. They're breeding like roaches.

I get a flu shot every year, 1) for my health, 2) for the health of some of my friends who have immune issues, and 3) for the health of the legions of old farts I encounter while cruising. My PCP asked that I get this year's immunization before surgery, so that it will be effective in the recovery period. Also, she recommended a pneumonia vaccination for the same reason. I suggest a hose, or a bucket of vinegar, then. "When all is said and done, usually more has been said than done. "

Get an air horn. Every time she tries to talk to you, point it at her, press the button and smile. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

"Hmm, my stomach is producing too much acid. I should drink vinegar, an acid, to make it less acidic." Yes, people actually believe that. *iRoll* "When all is said and done, usually more has been said than done. "

Ugh, one more supervised visit to go...

Help! What did you bring?
Fredbear replied to hernewselfie's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
The gas they pump you up with is in your body cavity, not your stomach. The Gas-x strips won't do anything. "When all is said and done, usually more has been said than done. " -
It's snake oil. Or rather, in the same bulls*** category as essential oils.

It absolutely makes NO freaking sense to me... **MY RANT**
Fredbear replied to LipstickLady's topic in Rants & Raves
They just hate drama that they haven't created. I mean, how dare other people get attention! "When all is said and done, usually more has been said than done. " -

One month done supervised diet
Fredbear replied to Jenjen2016's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have one more visit on October 19th, and then my PCP submits it to my surgeon's office and they submit it to insurance. "When all is said and done, usually more has been said than done. " -
Holiday for Strings.

She's a mess. Sever. You're both still children and need to live some actual life and get the drama out your system.

Preparing for appointment #5 on Wednesday. Only one more to go after this, and then submitting to insurance... "When all is said and done, usually more has been said than done. "

This might be a fun little 5 minute test for y'all.
Fredbear replied to LipstickLady's topic in Rants & Raves
I've had to take these many times before, and always come up as INTP. I would take it again from the link provided, but it's a spammy website that's poorly designed (and has popups). Keep in mind that the Myers-Briggs test is pretty much nonsense, and of no real use. Post Surgery Bloodwork - BUN Bld & ALT are above normal range? Is this normal?
Fredbear replied to AmiLou's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
From what I understand, your BUN will go up when you begin eating a high pr otein diet. I am not a doctor, however. "When all is said and done, usually more has been said than done. "
