We are going through the exact same thing, I was sleeved on the 26th, discharged after 1 day.. Pain meds make me sleepy all day, stomach growling and throat rumbling when drinking Water. Zero appetite and miserable. Ready for this part to be over. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Yep even few days ago I kept reading and reading and think that I am not going to feel that way and here it is... We will get through this right? We will! I know it! We will look back on these moments and laugh at how silly we were, we will be fit and healthy, looking back on how we used to be with our heads held high, proud of the people we have become. It's funny because you read so much information of people's struggles before you've had surgery to mentally prepare yourself for what's to come but your adamant that you won't be that person.. I had my surgery! Can't believe it!! All this waiting and it was finally here... Straight after surgery was horrendous, I was in so much pain from the gas it was almost unbearable, my boyfriend kept rubbing my back and they were giving me tons or morphine to ease it.. After a few hours it had subsided, it's still there but not hurting me anymore. Managing to drink Water perfectly fine.. Mr surgeon said he thinks I'll be going home early as my surgery was textbook and my recovery is excellent.. He even came into my room to thank me for having an amazing liver and following the pre-op diet, apparently on the operating table they were in shock at just how clean it was haha. I'm starting to feel 'hungry' now.. I'm not sure if that's in my mind though as my stomach isn't rumbling.. I think I'm just aware that I haven't eaten a thing in 48hrs! Hey all, SO... Yesterday was my pre-op assessment 8 days prior to surgery. My nurse was lovely and took (3 large!!!) test tubes of my blood for tests. My pre-op diet starts today, 1,000 cal per day low fat diet up until surgery date which is the 26th. I know I should feel lucky that they didn't assign me a liquid only diet but I kind of wish they had, it would be easier to follow! I might just try to do it that myself anyway to prepare for after surgery I'm not sure! Anyway I just wanted to check in and say, it all starts today! Honestly, every person I've asked has had a different opinion/answer and vaping really is a new thing so nobody seems to be too educated on exactly what you can and can't do with it. I'm on your side though, since I got my surgery date (two weeks ago) I've been on zero nicotine vaping and have found it much easier than I had thought! I know it's strange isn't it? I think it has to do with size/height ratio and just how overweight you are? My bmi is 35.. Could be that. My doctor did say that dependent on your bmi he can put them on the pre-op from 1week to 6weeks! Oh believe me I will! Day two now and I'm dealing with it a lot better, have decided to ditch the bread and potatoes as they're too high in calories and instead made myself stews with lots of veggies to munch on throughout the day! I have done intermittent fasting for quite a while and wondered if I have to eat my 800 calories throughout the day or if I can eat once per day and have my full allowance then in a bigger meal?? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I'm 29.. So I'm unsure if I fall into the young category anymore (*throws plate at the wall*) but I'm having my surgery on Thursday next week and I've never been more ready.
