Cellucor C4 - Pre-Workout Energy Pack
BigRichieRich replied to SleeveSoon's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Try the Cellucor C4 Sport. It is not as strong as the regular C4. It gives me plenty of energy to start with and kicks in later on to keep my workouts going strong. Pre-workouts really helped me to train harder and keep focus. After my work out I also take BCAA's. The combo has really helped me and with the BCAA's the muscle fatigue afterwards and the next day are tolerable. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

How Do You Stay Cool Without Ice Cream?
BigRichieRich replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Food and Nutrition
Check out Halo Top ice cream. It is so delicious. Really tastes as close to the real thing. Seriously. Fits right into the post opt diet. Makes it almost seem like cheating. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Hey Beme! I am glad you are doing real well. Sounds like you are adapting well. My experience has been a bit slower. I decided to stop my pain meds cause it was only mild pain from swallowing to much. Since early this morning my brain fog has cleared and I actually took in 60 grams of Liquid Protein all day and what a boost of energy that gave me. I was out walking 4 times today compared to only one yesterday. Day by day it gets so much better. For my pre-opt diet I started at 372 and day of surgery I was down to 348. It surprised me a lot. I thought I only lost like 10-12lbs. If you stick to the diet rules and do a little extra walking (that is all I did) it worked out well. Here's to another great Day! Hey Beme, I made it home just now. Feeling exactly the same way. Just trying to hydrate. I have yet to try a Protein shake. Saving that for later after I get my meds. Wife is getting them for me now. My stomach hurts also if I take more than 2 sips in a row. I have been just doing 2 sips every 10 minutes seems to be working. Can't wait for the ends of the week, when I am feeling much better. How is your activity level been? I am able to get up and walk around often without much trouble. Least that is one good thing so far. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I did almost the same thing. I am all stocked up for the post-op liquid phase. With all the Vitamins and crazy amounts of Protein. I am on fitness pal. It is how I have been keeping track of how little I have been eating. It is funny it doesn't allow you to save or complete the day because of how little caloric intake I have. It never goes above 1000 and the app says that is not healthy. Least It keeps me honest and on track. Great tool though. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Same here except I only have to do all liquids tomorrow. It is very interesting all the different pre-opt diets and what they have you do and when. I am going to do liquids today also just to be safe. My surgery is at 9:45 am. I am nervous but excited to see where this takes me. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I am a patient of Dr. Tishler also. I am getting sleeved on May 23rd. I am all set finally. Just getting thru the pre-opt diet now. It is amazing how much weight you loose if you follow it. So far the staff and Doctors with Hartford Hospital Surgical Weight loss program have been excellent. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
