I feel so miserable and don't know what to do? I been to the hospital and they gave me fluids and some medicine and I still don't feel better. if I would of known it was like this before I gotten it I would of never gotten this surgery, went from being so excited to so depressed.

I'm on the same boat. I was sleeved in late April. I saw my GP on Friday and she said that it could be a stricture. Basically it's when your stomach heals but the hole entering your stomach is too small. The only way to fix it is to get a balloon dilation. Apparently it's not uncommon. I've seen multiple people here with the same symptoms and all have said the same. I was really worried until I spoke to my doctor. Try to stay as hydrated as you can and go see your doctor.

  2. I was sleeved at the end of April and have been experiencing the same. I saw my GP on Friday and she suspected the same. I'll be visiting my Gastroenterology doctor to confirm and may schedule a balloon dilation if it comes down to it. Be careful with dehydration. I was hospitalized once already because I couldn't get enough liquids in and I kept vomiting.

Stay strong. We will get through this. ????

  3. Hi I am in West Palm Beach sleeved Jan 26, 2016.

Floridian79 wow what a fantastic total weight loss you had. I gather you are now at goal.

Marlene your a newbie. How are things going for you? What and when is this meetup in Orlando that you speak of. Do you plan to go? I would love to find others in the South Florida area for support and ideas etc. I have been thinking about starting a meetup in this area but I have no ideas how to start it, where to meet and what it should be about. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

This is another South Florida group her at BP but they haven't been active since March.

However you never know maybe we can get some people posting again

Hi ssflbelle! Yes I'm a complete newbie and am having a bit of a hard time recovering and getting back to normal. It's been rough and most times I regret it until I step on the scale and see the numbers drop. The meetup in Orlando is being held by an instagrammer by the name of Joy_In_the_Journey. I'll attach a screenshot.

I think it would be amazing to have a support group down here. It'd be nice to have people to meet up with semi regularly who are going through or have gone through similar experiences. I have been looking for people near me that are on the weightloss surgery journey since way before my surgery. I'm sure there are plenty of people on the same boat. I'll look up info on starting a group and let you know what I find.

  4. Hey everyone, I need some help. I haven't been able to keep anything down for a few weeks now and was recently hospitalized for dehydration. I try to get my liquids in as much as possible but because I'm constantly vomiting nothing seems to stay. I'm really getting worried. As much as I also try to get my Protein in I can only manage a couple sips a day. I was put on anti nausea medicine but it doesn't seem to help.

I get tired after minimal activity and need to sleep all of the time. I thought my multivitamins and B12 was supposed to help combat that. Though I've lost 40 lbs I'm still kind of regretting this surgery. I feel like this isn't normal. Does anyone have any advice? I'm really at a loss here.

I had this problem as well. It freaked me out and I was in and out of my doctors office. They said my pylori was narrow and it was a strain for things to get by it. I had to have a dilation for me to finally be able to eat and drink without the nausea and regurgitation feeling

  6. @@Aussiegirl & @@Takoyaki

I am 7 weeks out & absolutely exhausted. How are you both feeling great??!! HELP! I don't feel bad. But I am so tired all of the time. I need naps. I can't excercise because I'm so tired. I'm not sore just tired. How many calories are you eating? I'm thinking I am too low at 600.

I feel the same. I'm five weeks out and I'm also getting sick everyday. I went to my doctor after being hospitalized, for dehydration since I couldn't keep anything down, and she says that it's normal for some people to feel this way. It's completely frustrating. I guess it's true when they say everyone heals differently.
