the watori one i see most often at tjmaxx/marshall, that looks like the one I linked, covers a lot. I can't really wear it with a low or loose top because it will show. It must be a different bra than the one I linked because it doesn't really create any cleavage, each boob is fully contained in the cup.

I found two different wacoal bras in my size. one looks like this one: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/wacoal-ultimate-side-smoother-underwire-t-shirt-bra/4141445?origin=category-personalizedsort&fashioncolor=BLACK the other is more of a plunge style. Both are super comfortable and supportive and give a nice shape. You can always try them on at the store, or at home then return them if you don't like the fit. I bought some other brand I had heard good things about (Natori) but it gave me cone boobs so I returned it. Every TJ Maxx/Marshalls I've been to carried the Wacoal bras, but I couldn't always find them in my size (38DDD) I bought one that was a cup size smaller since I love them so much and am not done losing weight.

I'm a totally different size but wanted most of the same things you're looking for in a bra. I found wacoal bras at tj maxx and marshalls for $12,99 - $!6.99. I think regular price for these is usually around $60-70. Easily the best bras I've ever worn.

Weight loss projections for clothes buying.
bostonmama replied to ahipchik1965's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think 8 pairs of expensive pants is probably too much, but I am cheap. I think I have 3 pairs of jeans that fit me now and don't need any more than that, but I work from home and don't need professional clothes. I also buy 90% of my clothing at thrift stores. I am just now fitting into really nice brands of jeans (paige, hudson, etc) Each pair has been about $5-20. I bought one pair at TJ MAxx for $70 and returned it after finding basically the same thing at a thriftstore for $6. If I find something nice I'll buy it one to two sizes smaller than I am now, but I still have about 30-50 lbs to lose so a size smaller in summer is realistic for me. It sounds like you're closer to goal and so I'm guessing its less of a sure thing for you. For me, looking forward to wearing the smaller clothes one way I keep myself motivated to stick to the plan. -
So I am finally done 2 days post op sleeve to RNY Revision
bostonmama replied to Crystal.Lee's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
If you want to have good results with this surgery, you need to stick to the plan. I have not always done so and my results are not as good and those that do what they are supposed to be doing. My surgeon really cautioned against trying solid foods early. A few patients of his patients that didn't follow the guidelines and ate solids too soon after surgery have ended up in the ER, and he has even had to go back in and pick solid food out of their staples. -
stomach flu after gastric bypass?
bostonmama posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Can anyone tell me what its like to have a stomach bug after gastric bypass? My whole family caught something last week that caused 24 hours of vomiting, last night they all came down with the same thing again. I was hoping my pouch was immune to whatever they have, but now I'm thinking I'm getting it too. -
RainbowLight Calcium Citrate Gummies are great, I actually look forward to them! I buy them at the vitamin shoppe. https://www.amazon.com/Rainbow-Light-Wellness-Calcium-Citrate/dp/B0127WS6H2

Curious about rate of weight loss
bostonmama replied to Lawyeress's topic in Duodenal Switch Surgery Forum
Are you eating many carbs? My weight loss has been a lot slower than some on this site and I think its probably because I am eating a lot more carbs than others. -
Possibly switching to bypass because of GERD
bostonmama replied to shy1's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
The exact same thing happened to me, and I had the bypass 5 months ago. I'm really happy with my decision. I've lost about 70 lbs and feel great. I don't think its possible for me to lose too much weight, its more likely I will have trouble reaching my goal from lingering bad food habits. I wouldn't worry too much about dumping. Not everyone gets it, and even if you do, you can still probably still have a couple of bites of dessert once in a while, you just can't go crazy. Honestly I think it is just another tool that helps you avoid eating junk that is terrible for you anyway. -
How is it possible one gains weight after Gastric Bypass despite Dumping Syndrome
bostonmama replied to Gabriel29's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You can gain weight not eating any sugar at all. Post ops can still eat way too many calories and avoid dumping syndrome by eating things like pizza. -
How is it possible one gains weight after Gastric Bypass despite Dumping Syndrome
bostonmama replied to Gabriel29's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
People can still eat way too many calories/carbs after WLS, its difficult to do in one sitting but not hard to do over the course of a day, We still have to watch what we're eating, make healthy choices, etc. I have had days that I've gained, usually if I've gone out to eat or gotten takeout and then grazed on the leftovers. -
What do you tell people who dont know?
bostonmama replied to B.Annie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You can say you're trying to lose weight/changing your eating habits without mentioning the surgery. -
I am 4.5 months post op and my hair loss is pretty bad, I had pretty thin hair and you can really see a lot of scalp in the front near my part. I had bangs cut and that helped. Can't wait for my hair to start growing back!!

How much time have you taken off work?
bostonmama replied to danithomas's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went back after only 1 week (no PTO and the work was just piling up everyday I was out). It was doable but not ideal. I had no pain from surgery but I was so tired. You really can't eat anything for a while so you will have no energy. I was also "hangry". It would have been nice to take time off until I was able to eat something again (4 weeks for my program) but it just wasn't an option for me. -
Advice Needed During Wait
bostonmama replied to tracybshaw's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My surgeon uses the weight from your first visit when they submit to insurance. Most programs include making healthy changes and so many people will lose weight following the program, and the surgeon doesn't want to disqualify you. -
yes I stalled at 3 weeks and it lasted a month. I've had another 2 week stall since then.

My band surgery vs. RnY surgery
bostonmama replied to Rachel412's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
@@Rachel412 we have the same surgeon and I had a very similar experience! Much easier than I expected, I didn't even need the tylenol. -
When do you take your vitamins?
bostonmama replied to Missbeauty16's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums

Currently pregnant and planning for a surgery after delivery
bostonmama replied to SweetyShetty1988's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I had RNY in October when my daughter was 10 months old, and I think you can contact your PCP right away. It could take months to do all the pre op appointments (It took me 7 and I rushed them as much as possible), you may able to choose your own surgery time, for me I just wanted it asap but I recall them asking me what season/month I preferred. My PCP did recommend waiting until I was done breastfeeding to get the surgery, I'm guessing because you won't be eating much starting with the pre op diet until 2-4 weeks after surgery, and breastfeeding would be difficult when you are almost starving. There will also be a limit on how much you can lift after surgery. My husband ended up taking a week off so he could pick up the baby for me, and afterwards I kept a stroller in the house so I at least could avoid carrying her around. A plus to having this surgery after a baby is that people aren't questioning the weight loss very much. -
When do you start feeling normal again?
bostonmama replied to shareeann's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel pretty good at 7 weeks but I'm getting about double your calories. Can you eat more or have another shake? -
I'm 7 weeks post op RNY and haven't had any kind of "bathroom" issues. I definitely avoid sugar though because I'm afraid of dumping syndrome, which I haven't experienced either. As far as I know dumping is more like intense flu/fever symptoms than a bathroom emergency.

Sleeve surgery and working retail
bostonmama replied to AC3's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I don't work retail sorry, but I also have no paid time off (and no one to do my work while I'm out) so I tried to go back to work as soon as possible. I would think you're going to need at least 2 weeks, and if you can take more time, or work short shifts the first couple of weeks. I went back to a desk job after 1 week, but after 3-4 hours of sitting I really wanted to lie down. You're going to be pretty fatigued in the beginning since you won't be able to get many calories in. Do you have to stand the whole time? You'll probably have a restriction on how much you can lift for 4-6 weeks. -
Day 1 post_op
bostonmama replied to lisa_castruita's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I was in the hospital I asked for pain meds, by the time I was discharged I had no pain. I wouldn't hesitate to ask them for something to make you comfortable. -
