Hi all! Just wanted to reach out to see if any of you can recommend an Orange County/Los Angeles County bariatric surgeon that is in the center of excellence program. I have united health care choice plus and they want me to use COE. I currently have a band and would like to switch over to the sleeve. Thanks! I had a consult with Dr. Russo, he wont do the band removal and sleeve in one surgery. Wants me to wait 90 days after band removal then get sleeved. Only issue with that for me is that I wont get approved for sleeve after the 90 days cause I dont weigh enough, bmi too low. But dont get me wrong Smart dimensions is great and the surgeons know whats best for their patients but I wanted a all in 1 surgery instead of 2 surgeries. Best wishes!
