I had my sleeve around 5 months ago an I'm down 115lbs. Which is great, but had a quick question. I know bypass patients can no longer take extended releases medicine. Does the same go for us sleevers? I was recently put on Wellbutrin SR twice daily. The doctor knows I have had the gastric sleeve but just wanted to make sure the medicine is working as it takes 4+ weeks to notice effects from it. Does that depend on how much of the medicine is absorbed in the stomach. Similar to drinking, now very little era me drunk but it also disappears just as quick. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I have much more to loose then you an I feel like mine has slowed down too. Im 4 weeks post op an have lost 52lbs since pre-op. Which looking at the number seems great but I just can't see a difference an now I've slowed down to a crawl. Looking at what I got to loose seems so far away. Also asked my surgeon about it an he said it was completely normal. The stomach is still swollen an needs to heal. Mine is getting better an does happen as much unless I take too big of a drink. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I had my sleeve done on 6/13 an have the same issue. When I drink something it cramps really bad. Figured the stomach is still quite swollen an this is part of the process but will ask my surgeon Tuesday an let you know what he says. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
