  1. I have diabetes so I was always peeing. I found since the surgery 8 days ago, even though I drink way more Water than I did, I pee less and love it! I can even sleep more than two hours at a time whereas before I couldn't! Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

    Post Op Day 4

Yep, May 5th. Getting back to normal. Getting used to the break up between me and food. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  3. Okay, I'm over Isopure, lol. I will still sip it but it's hard to get it all in in one day. It's freaking difficult to get in 60-90 grams of Protein in a day when you're only taking in liquid. Sheeesh. I'll make it though. I know I feel a LOT better when I get my protein. What do the beginner sleevers do for protein? I'm just curious. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

    When does hunger go away?

When I see fast food items and such, I wanna hurl. I do crave the boiled/broiled chicken and broccoli, Brussel sprouts, asparagus, etc. Don't ask me why. I also am craving fresh fruit but I know I have to wait. This is day 7 and I am ready for something other than broth, sf Jello, etc. Can I make lentils and smoosh them? Or at least something else that I don't have to chew too much for Protein? Can I introduce Peanut Butter in yet? I feel good physically, but I don't want to harm the inside healing process. I have my first week appointment with the dietician or (what does NUT stand for?) someone at the surgical weight loss center. I will ask there too. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

    Grazing

Glad you asked that because I kind of felt the same way. Thanks for the answers! Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

    Anyone get sleeved in May?

I wasn't forced to do a preop diet but I prepared for the surgery for a while so I practiced things. I gave up soda and caffeine before the surgery so I wouldn't get headache withdrawals. I also practiced not eating for emotional reasons, which was hard. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

    Anyone get sleeved in May?

I got it May 5th. First few days I regretted it but it gets better. I feel healed completely now but I'm sure the inside prolly needs another week. Had heartburn a few times, started taking omeprezole for heart burn. Still take some of my diabetic meds if sugar is over 150. At my appointment with my primary that they made me for the 10th, I had already dropped 20 lbs! Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  9. You're a riot, KindaFamiliar! Keep THAT up, while keeping your weight down. Don't get too "Hung up" on the turkey neck. The neck doesn't make the man. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

Science: How reporters get it wrong

That was funny. I enjoyed it. I watch a lot of Dr. Oz who has a lot of different doctors and "new studies" revealing new things, but I tend to be like the "a la carte" person who picks and chooses what she wants to believe. These days there's info everywhere and is hard to decide who to believe so I have to go with my own logic. I'm pretty skeptical about "new studies". Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

    Transformation Tuesday

You look great! Great job! Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  13. Isopure is a better goto because it has 40grams of Protein per bottle. I am not too keen on the flavors, but I think it's better than the sf drinks because you are getting protein. Get a few bottles at GNC and pour over ice and sip through the day. Not bad at all. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  14. I made a Protein drink out of visalis Protein powder (body by Vi) and Water, ice, and sf banana pudding flavor. It's like drinking a thin banana pudding. Very yummy for a quick pick-me-up when I feel a little listless. I put everything I make into 2oz souffle cups and cover them. They are easy to transport and easy to drink from! You will have your ups and downs the first few weeks (I'm on day 7) but it gets better each day. Remember though, you are healing inside so don't overdo it. I went back to work on day 4 but I had enough employees on to be able to rest when needed. I seem to think I'm stronger than I am, lol. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  15. I wouldn't put anything too restricting on your belly. You need to heal first. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

  17. Hang in there! I questioned my decision the first few days but now is day 6 and I feel so much better. I know it's gonna be a long process, but I'm looking forward to not having to worry about my sugars or blood pressure. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
