Jellybean55 replied to Lisa_85's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
90 pounds in five pounds is fantastic! You should be very proud of your self and not so hard on yourself...seems like your in a stall from which I read can last anywhere from a week to months. Hang in there! -

I would try the Care Credit, I had a friend who used it for a tummy tuck. It was quick and easy to attain. Good Luck!

Letter of Support -BCBS Fep Question
Jellybean55 replied to _CRYSTALLITE_'s topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have the same insurance, to my knowledge my Dr. didn't have to say I hadn't drank in 6 months, I did drink moderately prior to surgery. I quit smoking 34 years ago so that wasn't an issue. My understanding is that if you do smoke, you have to quit 2 mos. before surgery. Good Luck. -
I am two weeks one day postop and just started mushy foods/blenderized foods a couple days ago. I am really struggling easier to eat mushy rather than blenderized. Anyway the last couple of days when I eat a dick couple tablespoons of food I am having a hard time getting in my three Proteins and Water. Is anyone else having this problem? I had a scrambled egg this morning with A few threads of cheese and haven't been hungry all day! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Today is day #7 for me and I too have had no appetite or maybe I should say hunger since I started my pre-op diet. I was so surprised, at first I thought it was mind-set but later I read about ketosis and that was really eye-opening. Whatever the reason I am grateful. Now 12 pounds down this morning, surgery this Monday.

Hi there everyone, Day 5 of my liquid diet today, jumped on the scale this morning and I am down 11 pounds. I haven't really been hungry. Hard to believe and have to wonder how good that can be for my body, but I am not going to complain about it. I have been in really good spirits until today, when I got a little irritated with someone. A little afraid that my social life with my husband and friends is going to be negatively affected, like I won't be able to enjoy eating out...that is one of my biggest fears. I know this will be good, just need to stay positive. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Consultation Today at 8am can't sleep lol
Jellybean55 replied to BeautifulSharifah's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can only speak from my experience but there are a lot of appointments, tests, meetings with nutritionist and psychologist prior to submitting your package to the insurance company to see if they qualify you for the surgery. I started the process in January and my surgery is August 1st. My first appt with Dr was basically going over my medical history, past weight loss attempts etc. Good luck and don't be nervous...no need:) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
