    1 month Post Op!

Hi! I'm close to my first month too. I don't know what was your starting weight, but I think you eat too few. My diet plan is about 1200 cal and it is designed to avoid that the body learns how to survive with a very low amount of food and energy. The body has memory and if it got the idea that it has to survive with less, it does it. So keep attention if you want avoid a vicious circle in wich you have to eat progressively less to keep or less weight, is better to have a more complete alimentation plus some phisical activity, such just walking 30-40 minutes a day. My prevision is about a long term time, but i suggest you to ask now about this "body trick issue" to your dietist. .
  4. Hi oburawa. I'm now in quite the same condition you described circa a month ago. I'm shifting to solid, but it'snt easy, because I am not good in right portioning my food, so often I didn't understand that "these" has to be the last bite, so I go further for a small taste and I make a mess. Often I need to vomit because I'm still not good in understanding the "full" signal. I've lost 10 kg in 25 days, I'm happy for my decision. I can't wait to learn better how to eat correctly, but I already started to appreciate the taste of my little and more healthy food portion. I regret I didn't decided before to have surgery... But the important is now, my new better and healthy and, probably, happier life. P.s. I had surgery in Italy. Inviato dal mio Redmi Note 2 utilizzando Tapatalk
  5. Sunday. Waiting to go home tomorrow. Still having tea and Water. The holes on the stomach are closing. The RX of the stomach showed the surgery has been well done. The hospital room is becoming heavy to bear, but it's OK. The only problem is the awful old witch/bitch in face of my bed... Very bad and envy person. 6. Hi guys, yesterday I had my gastric sleeve operation. Yesterday evening was awful, like I has been invested by a locomotive, with a lot of hot pain on the stomach. Today, in the morning I didn't believe to be able to stand by myself and instead, big surprise, I did! My I feel good, optimist and I can't wait to go home. I find the sewed holes on the stomach very decorative... Maybe I will change idea about tattoo and decorated my belly neighbours. Inviato dal mio Redmi Note 2 utilizzando Tapatalk

    Tomorrow is my day

Thanks for your suggestion and supporting. I have my lovely pink ID bracelet on the left harm. And now I just asked something good to relax ...
  8. Hi guys. I'm already in my bed in the hospital room. They gave me just a cup of tea for dinner, instead of the watery soup I believed to have. OK, I can handle it. My real problem is the rising of the hidden anxiety. Laying in a bed doing nothing, waiting for tomorrow is awful. And I also scared they can switch me with the other girl in the room, because we look similar. She is listed for a bypass, surgery that I don't want. Fondamentally I'm in the sea of doubts now....
  9. Excuse me for my stupid question, but is it possible to assume protein in capsule?

    Regret

I will have the surgery on May 25th and I feel the same you described. I'm scared because I want to throw off this fat coat but I don't know how I 'm without it, under it. I'm convinced I'm not more able to handle this health and psychological huge problem, so I decide to ask help to the health system. In my future, I don't know what version of myself I'm going to face to, but I'm sure my body will thank me and my life quality will increase. But, again, beyond wisdom, I'm scared, I'm doubting.... we'll have a better life
  11. I'm lucky because in Italy this kind of surgery can be paid by the welfare state (if you are in certain health and economic conditions, evaluated every time ). I could'nt afford this cost, that is very expensive here too, when self paid. I'm happy to pay taxes to have a public health system.
  12. Hello. I'm waiting for sleeve surgery too. In my case I understood that the doctor intends to cut 70-75 % of my stomach, so it will contain just a volume of 150 ml maximum circa. Doing a research for a query similar to this topic, I found that the surgeon decides the amount of percentage to cut basing the evaluation on many factors. There isn't an only size for the result, that is decided depending on the patient conditions. The same surgery is made also for very different health problems of the stomach, for example to eliminate mutating stomach metaplasia. In this case the surgery criteria are the opposite of the aim of weight loss, so they try to preserve the maximum portion of stomach and give to the patient a post op diet studied to gain or keep weight... 13. I see almost everyone is from U.S. I'm the only from Europe here?
  14. I'm from Italy, I live in Venice
  15. Pajamas or nightgown? I thought to bring comfortable nightgowns for the hospital days - before and after surgery - but then I thought about the stitches: perhaps to control them with more comfort is better to wear a pajamas, so you can raise just the t-shirt to check them ... what do you think?
