  1. Used up as in I expected with the US dollar conversion they would have really new state of the art equipment in the rooms.for example the ekg machine was functional but old.another example they count the IV drips but don't use an IMED.They run a lot of people through so the rooms need painting and repairs that you would expect to see. The hospital is like a lot of USA rural hospitals okay but bare bones.

Yes.its pretty common in the beginning after vsg.also it will happen if you eat too much or too fast even a year out.

    To skinny

The only people that say I am too skinny are people bigger than me.everyone my size or smaller does the eye roll side eye thing, because no one ever comments on them being thin and taking care of themselves.

Pre-op diet, lost 20# in less than 2 months, feeling great....but.....

I had an episode pre-op like this.Oh God was it awful. It would stop a day and restart. It was related to my progesterone. After surgery I had another spell where my cycle changed to every 22 days.It finally got back to normal after 6 months. It was like perimenopause.

    secrets

Pretty much everyone knows except for two people for different reasons.I haven't told my sister. She is hyper critical of my weight and has always been the pretty skinny one.She has gained a lot of weight.I can see her physically confronting me.The other person is my best friend.I want to surprise her next month with my massive weightloss. She would be supportive, but she's never seen me small.I think it'll be funny. As far as coworkers most know. But it's not your job to tell them especially if you don't like them or are not friends with them. There are some people I wish I hadn't told that's for sure.

    NSV-YAY for the farm girl

Just wait until you start feeling all the bones you didn't know you had.I remember a time last month I thought why does my butt hurt, oh it's a bone in my rear.

    I think I broke it

Seriously you could try a brown cow which is milk of magnesia mixed with warm prune juice and butter. Or you might need lactose. But you will curse the day you take that.youll get a cherry red baboon butt from all the wiping, but bright side no more constipation.

    I think I broke it

My father used to say that for a severe case of constipation what was needed was to eat at McDonalds, the trots were sure to follow.

    Eating often?

For me I drink a half hour before I'm due to eat.at this point I can chug a 8-12ounce glass in five minutes. In the beginning it was a full time job to stay hydrated and that was my main concern, not eating.

    Here's your sign...

I've totally busted my ass out of my scrubs.so freaking embarrassing I had to put a hospital gown on and by pants at a store in town.I lived wayyyyyy to far to drive home and get another pair.

    Eating often?

I eat every two to three hours.I eat less than 200 calories at every small meal and try to make sure there is 10-15 gram protein minimum. For an example I may have triple zero Greek yogurt with five mixed berries and six to nine almonds.the next meal might be 1.5 scrambled egg with salsa, the next might be a balance protein bar.You get the idea.

    1 year post op

You totally killed it.what an inspiration. I'm in awe of anyone who can lose that much in a year! I'm so glad that you posted this because it helps so much to see the pictures when you are so body dimorphic and can't picture the size differences.

    The three week stall

That stall is real.Sometimes I think it's more appropriate to call it a wall.It can really challenge you if you aren't prepared.Dont give in , don't back down. Do what the Doctor says and you'll kick it's butt

How much Fat do you consume?

I don't avoid fat unless it is manufactured fats like cooking oils , margarine etc. I eat daily pinion nuts, almonds, butter and half and half.I make no apologies about that either. It is what works for me.
