As an independent contractor I don't get sick time, I work on a commission based pay plan, so my time off I don't get paid (no problem I have savings) but she also does not make money on me when I'm not working. I have been working for her for 8 years so the employee/ boss relationship is a big grey line. It is called vacation time and I get around 3 weeks per year. I don't think that she will suspect WLS if I come up with something believable. I think the Hiatal hernia or partial gastrectomy might be good, it is definitely more believable then a Canadian salmon fishing trip in November ( what my husband came up with ). Protein-whats your favorite?
Daisy Day replied to Jennifer Deen's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Herbalife shakes only have 9-13 on the Protein depending on the formula, carbs are 13 and calories are 90. They do have decent Vitamins added, I'm still pre surgical and once I have surgery I most likely will find a lower carb shake until I'm closer to goal, the orange cream flavor is good. Flavor Essence is Awesome, you can find it on Amazon and it only takes a couple drops to gently ad a hint of flavor to your Water or coffee without any calories Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I love Herbalife, the mint chip one is my fave, the Dutch chocolate is not overly sweet. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
I just got back from a local fair and while I was walking past some booths and had a Medifast consultant tell me that my doctor is wrong for having me do wls and that it is a crime that insurance will cover surgery and not her multilevel marketing scheme, I told her thanks but no thanks and that I am going to go with my educated doctor on this. A few booths down I ran into the Wrap booth and of course they hollered at my big rear end to come over and listen to their speech about how I could avoid WLS by using wraps on all my problem areas, I laughed and let them know that according to science I can't target fat loss and that I will be perfectly fine following my doctors orders, of course they disagreed. I went past 2 more booths on my way out and had the same thing happen, I felt like I had a multilevel marketing diet plan target on my back, they all pretty much told me the same thing about how their diet was the only diet and they all had 1 common enemy and that was WLS. They all had stories about how surgery fails and I just shook my head and walked away. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Yesterday I was able to go to my first surgical appointment, I am a month and a half into the 4 month process and so far I have lost 11 pounds. I have been doing physical therapy twice a week and behavior therapy once a week. My nutrition appointments are three times per month, I was accepted into the UW program and I found out that the surgical procedure will be the gastric bypass. The Molina process is usually 6 months but I'm getting "fast tracked" because of personal motivation. The point I'm making is when it comes to your individual plan it is just that your individual plan, I track everything that goes into my mouth and every step I take. What ever myself and my team plan and decide I do, I go above and beyond, when I give my best I can not fail. All of us are here for a reason and all of our stories that got us here are different, we all deserve to be healthy and happy. Our efforts will be measured with the pounds we lose, our bodies will not lie and our efforts will pay off. We can't afford to to fail, and motivation can be hard to keep going and sometimes we have to cheer each other on, we need to keep judgment silent. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

We discussed the pros and cons of the 2 procedures that are offered, together with my team it was decided that the gastric bypass procedure was the best for my situation. I went in to this with out a preconceived idea as to what procedure I would have. I decided to take advice from the professionals that have both the education and experience to help guild me in the right decision. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Per my insurance I have a 6 month time limit on step 2, so I am all about hustle, I spend 30-45 minutes on a treadmill at the gym 4-5 days a week in the morning and then I try to take my dogs for a walk in the late afternoon for a 1.5 mile stroll. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
