@@scampbell33, this diet is just hell on Earth, isn't it? Water: I drink a lot of it anyway, but I do have to work at it to get this much. I believe that the more I drink, the less hideous my fasting side effects are. I seem to do better in general with more Water. I use a tracker to keep up with how much I've had (personally I use Fitbit but there are many other free apps to track food & water). Are you tracking? Vitamins: My doctor just wants me on a good multi right now + D and magnesium. I normally have many more Vitamins to take every day than I do now pre-op, so that part isn't impacting me. I also have quite a few prescription drugs. I use a big pill sorter that has AM, PM and 7 days of the week compartments. I just sort them all into that once a week and done. My biggest struggles are the exhaustion and the deprivation. My brain is not firing on all cylinders at work or in general. I start out okay in the morning, but by the afternoon I'm just whipped, in every way. Ugh. I'm just trying to keep my eye on the prize. Hang in there! Lolol! Totally! Yes yes yes! Me too! & to top that all off, I'm sooo gassy! Lol.... but "keeping my eyes on the prize!!" Well said... & I don't track!! I have GOT to start that... what are the apps? That's great news! Thanks! Well what happened to me was my insurance said I failed to do something on my end... but long story short, I fought it, and I won! Me reading this, just made we want to tell u to be encouraged u have come this far to not give up now.... I too was challenged w my insurance 3 days before my surgery, and now I'm 8 days post op. What I'm saying Is , keep praying, keep believing, and stay focused.... and even if they push your surgery date back, you're still good... I've invested over a years time in preparing for this... so when this challenge came, it was like "oh no you won't either".... so continue to fight this good fight for your health... I'm 8 days post op, my first drs visit is tomorrow. I've been taking it easy and in the house for the whole entire time trying to recover... tomorrow I'll be getting tube, staples removed and I wana go OUT to a grocery store or something! Everyone's like take it easy, u don't wana be out too soon, etc. But geez! How long did you guys wait before u took a trip to a store, etc. ?? Lol! I haven't went anywhere w out a bra since about 15, 20 years now, but when I removed it pre op, I have yet to put on a bra! Lolol.... I'm 8 days post op.... and tomorrow is my first drs visit and I guess I'll put one on...lol. but yea I don't think you'll care once u get in the midst of everything. This is so exciting!!! It means so much to have others going through the same emotions and ups and downs as me at the same time....@@Maggie Journey it's weird how different plans can be so different....for example my plan says I can't use any Protein Drinks that have "protein concentrate" or has hydrolyzsed Gelatin, or collagen Protein anywhere in the ingredients.......so I can't have the Premier.....I ordered unjury powder so that's the kind I'll be using. As far as what I'm doing this weekend to get ready.......I'm pretty much ready so I've been making spreadsheets...haha yes, I'm one of those!!! But I'm making spreadsheets so I can track my weight and measurements. Thanks for sharing! About the pure protien drinks...
