Hi guys! First, Congrats to everyone who made the choice to have the sleeve. My question is how soon where you told you can have soft solids? I've been on liquids 3 weeks and I'm struggling to get enough calories in. I'm trying to understand the logic in only being able to have liquids, but being ok to take super solid pain killers, multi-Vitamins, etc. If we're told that it could create a leak, why can't the pills and vitamins create a leak? The bariatric nurses themselves gave me solid pain killers (Vicodin) to take. I had my surgery exactly a week ago, April 28 in Miami, Florida. I feel well, haven't had any nausea and have been able to tolerate all liquids I've had. I'm very grateful!!! Laura

Hi Miss Mac! Thanks! I would stay away from meats, I know they're tough to digest but not sure I understand the harm in a piece of avocado, mashed sweet potato or a scrambled egg. I'm having a hard time drinking more than 300- 400 calories and consequently feel weak. Wendy's chili with cheese sounds amazing! All in due time, I know.

I'm also trying to figure out what full feels like, I get burpy every time I swallow I'm (1 week post op) so maybe still gas? I did feel like a rock/ knot stuck at the end of my esophagus type of feeling for a few seconds and I'm wondering if that's it? Time will tell!
