Hi. I got good news and am on pureed foods for one week then soft foods the next. I am going through bandster hell right now though awaiting my first fill. I am getting those feelings of regret that I did this. It's being set off by emotions of being in a crossfire in a family feud. I can't emotional eat anymore and it's hard. Awhile back, I've read encouraging words here to someone who had the same feelings of regret and am trying to remember them and echo them in my mind. I was supposed to go to church exercise tonight but as I cried I told the lady who leads it I couldn't go. Trying to stay strong not to emotional eat. :help:

I bought the 3.3 pound container of powder of Alpine punch. It's ok. Somewhat filling.

I am two weeks post op today. I am, for the most part on clear liquids except I can have Protein supplements. I have Carnation instant Breakfast, Isopure, and some whey I got from Wal Mart. I will be advanced to mushies on Wednesday as long as everything goes well at my 3 wk post op appointment Tuesday the 14th! Kristine

Hello, I have been lurking again...I know...I was chastized for just lurking, but I had been busy, went on vacation, gained only 2 pounds from it(did a lot of walking) came back and was banded on the 24th. I am back down again and feeling ok physically. Just going nuts because I am on liquids until my post-op appointment on the 14th. Anyway, I thought I had read on a forum(may have been this one) that Inamed has cards to give out to Bandsters to carry...is this true? My surgeon wasn't aware of this, but they are bigger on doing RNYs. Thanks! Kristine

Why did you choose the band over GB?
thehittgirl replied to sleepyjean's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I did not consider an RNY for the reasons already listed....didn't want insides rearranged, and I did not like the malabsorption factor. I have Iron problems and need to take supplements as it is at times. I can't imagine what it would be like after an RNY. Also, I know of a few people who have developed nerve problems and have problems with walking. Basically, you may be trading one set of problems for another. No thanks. I'm a mom with 2 young boys. They need me and an ACTIVE me. Kristine -
Hello, I have a question for those of you who were banded by Dr Kwon. This is a question I am asking more for my husband in the event he decides to get the banding, as I am set with my workups being almost completed with Danbury hospital, and my date set. Does Dr Kwon have his own set of Dr.s for you to see or can you choose your own for workups. The traveling to Danbury was a little tiring as I had to use their Drs. Thanks! Kristine

Hello, I am in somewhat of a denial as I went through a small ordeal to get to this place but I'm being banded January 23rd...WOOHOO. I saw the psych the day I was PMSing and I looked like a basket case, but when I went for my med checkup and he cleared me. YEAH! I was frustrated because I'm ready....any challenges I may face...BRING IT ON!!!!!!! He was afraid I was not ready, but believe me with all the challenges and hurdles I've been through in life, I know I can do this. I'm a fighter and an overcomer. Anyway-lol...my name is Kristine and I live in upstate NY. I lost 12 of the 10 required pounds. I've been reading here for awhile now. Kristine

RANT: Patience is a virtue......
thehittgirl replied to Tropicana's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I did almost all of my pre-ops, and the office has just started to get things rolling with the insurance now. I'm scheduled for January 23rd, so I'm praying it will all run smooth. -
Hi Dody, I'm downstate more. I say upstate because it's not NYC, but I'm in the Hudson Valley. It's cold out tonight!!!!! Kristine

Thank you everyone. I have to give this forum credit because I met with the surgeon on the 22nd, and I was so prepared that when she blanked out on what she wanted to say, I filled in the blanks-lol. I told her it's thanks to you and the info I read on here =) Kristine
