    Hi Im Jax777

The only person who can fight for you is you, What are you most proud of? What are your greatest accomplishments? What are your goals for your future? What kind of support system do you have around you? Who goes grocery shopping? Are you planning a menu? Are you weighing and measuring out your portions? Try using a smaller dessert plate for your regular plate. Set timers to remind you to drink water and take your vitamins. You are NOT a failure, we all suffer setbacks and frustrations. Clean out your refrigerator, and pantry, NO rice, no pasta, no potatoes Read Labels, Carbs, Sugars and Protein Do you have a fitbit or the like? Set some goals and start moving, be proud of every step you take...it is a big deal overtime we get out of bed and fight for ourselves! I promise you I do everything above and still struggle to but everyday is a new day, and it must start with loving ourselves enough to fight for us. I am here if you'd like to talk, and I love new friends!!!! My best to you always
  2. Full From Within - Psychological Tool Belt by Dr Colleen If so any feedback? I am interested just want to hear what you got out of it before I commit to the fee. Thank you in advance
  3. I am coming up on my first year surgery date and am doing fairly well, I have only had one stall that lasted 3 months and it was excruciatingly long and frustrating. Since having surgery I have had the following life events occur, Jealousy at work, which lead to bullying and intimidation, which lead to a nervous breakdown. I was off work 12 weeks under FMLA, and then was let go...Its really going to be okay, God has greater things for me than to be surrounded by horrible Women, who are not able to life up and support others. As a result of 7 months of the above mentioned behavior I have been diagnosed with Anxiety and depression and am currently on medications for such. It is truly my hope to not have to stay on these medications as I continue to try daily to tune into the Word of God and get my mind reset with the Word of God. I have not been able to find work, I guess I think I am worth too much money.. My husband and I purchased a home, a new car and have 3 of our adult children and 2 grandchildren living under our roof!!! They have all been very supporting and loving during this challenging time, I truly just need a cash cloud to burst forth over the top of my house and fill my yard with money, and all will be well! I have been in counseling, but had to stop due to our insurance doesn't cover the visits and I am unemployed, So God, Church and Praise Music have gotten me this far...Praise His Name. I am completely a hot mess....But I will Rise. God is Faithful. I would like to find someone whom is willing to share life after VSG surgery with me, just for conversation, support, humor, and Hope. Mentally this is the single most difficult experience of my life.....your Brain is a lot Stronger and powerful than we think, and Mine has been kicking my butt for months now. I have been reading several books at the same time to keep learning and growing as a woman and a survivor of lifes challenges, please check my list out and feel free to add any suggestive reading that has aided you in your journey. Power Thoughts by Joel Osteen Driven By Eternity By John Bevere Living Courageously By Joyce Meyer The Weightless Surgery Workbook by Doreen A Samelson Eating Mindfully by Susan Albers Eating with Fierce Kindness by Sasha T Loring Lastly My Bible it is a constant source of Hope Anyone truly interested please feel free to email me directly @ guidinglite@gmail.com Thank you for taking the time to read this Lynne

    Anyone from Kentucky?

Okay all you fine looking Kentucky Women~~ Good Morning~ Who's Up for sticking together through our Journeys and maybe Meeting up or having a Monthly Clothing Exchange? Let me know~~
  5. I am having a very difficult time with this one~ My work supervisor knows and has been sworn to share with no one as I told her my concerns for anyone in my work place to know my business My loved ones know........their love and support are truly all that matters
  6. My Big day is approaching, and while many are stocking up on Protein shakes and bone broth the first place I find myself needing to "stock up" is with a Mentor, someone who has walked this, talked this and knows the battle, the Joy and the recipe for Success. I am located in Northern Kentucky, Ideally I would like to have a Monthly Meet Up so willing to drive a must, and just provide Truthful support and lots of Laughs and to understand my tears.... I have an over the top amazing Husband who is very supportive and will be there for me no matter what, however, he is not at this time having surgery nor does he always understand my "moods"~ Ill leave that here. I am a wife of 25 years this December, a Mother to 5 of the most amazing Children that walk the earth and a GlamMa to the most rotten adorable grand boys ever! and I shall not forget to mention, our fur babies, Marcylou a Pug/Chihuahua mix and our Reggie, a Yorkie. we have been in Kentucky for 6 years this September and looking to make it more so as we start looking for a place to settle into and call our forever home. Please feel free to ask me any questions, Honesty and Understanding Always come first.

This liquid diet is killin me

I completely understand! Surgery on June 13, and this diet is not easy, but at the end of the day, we all are one step closer to living such a better life I constantly look at before and after photos, and read stories of sleevers that are 3 or more years out and look how amazing they look and read all their tips and advice........find something to keep your mind and body busy..........its much easier that way I have cleaned my bedroom, my bathroom, and my closet.......... organized the refrigerator, and weeded and mulched the flower beds all in the last 7 days! You GO girl~

    Building a Post-WLS Wardrobe

@@2goldengirl I should start here, I have started many an amazing thing, Loosing weight, countless times, starting a new project, crafting something and then loosing interest, support or seeing progress. I have failed ME, there I said it, 1000 times over, I have failed me, I am crying and ashamed to type the words, but I have to own my truth, or I will not have my future. I am terrified I wont succeed, I am too old to stay stuck and live less than the life I dream of when I secretly allow myself to "go there" I am sorry this took a turn and here we are, but I guess it needed to be said..... I will fight for me, Like never before, I have too many big dreams and hopes, and pure joy I want to experience I wish it for everyone who reads this post thank you

    Building a Post-WLS Wardrobe

I'm afraid to even allow myself to think about it for more than, yep that long....... I read all the amazing posts about running through clothes like water, and yet, I want to remain grounded, and be thankful....and not get caught up in the "smaller size" race.... Thank you for the article I will definitely read it and apply some of its suggestions~~

Cheating on day 6 post op

Sounds to me like the Family Diet needs overhauled~ Menu plan to include things you can eat, and take it a step further to include the children in the menu planning process, depending upon age...its never to soon to learn about nutrition and the differences between being hungry, bored and the true meaning of what food is, its not a reward, nor something you deserve, its FUEL for your body to function and provide nutrients for your brain , heart and organs its happening in this house I promise~~~

My Life My Loves My Journey

  14. @@KittyCathy22 I am in agreement with all of the responders to your post It sounds like you didn't take the time to educate yourself first or if you did not nearly to satisfaction. There are many great resources here, start reading, and prepare yourself, Knowledge is Power. Make that appointment with your Surgeon or Physiologist and work through the issues that are standing in your way. Sadly hair loss can happen, you should research Vitamins and supplements to take for hair growth, and understand you will need to take supplements and vitamins the rest of your life in some fashion. Who do you have that lives with you or close to you that can offer support to you and walk with you, join a gym with you, go to Church with you??? Who??? Seek them out....They wont come running but ones that truly care will show up. I am sorry you have find yourself in such a tailspin~ life will be brighter on the other side....but not with without bumps~

Newbie to VSG, just starting my journey

@@SarahSleeve If you want to read more about the effects of this surgery on relationships, there is a board on this site for spouses. and on ObesityHelp.com you will find similar boards. Education and Communication are what keeps the relationship moving forward, You will have bumps and hurt feelings and issues to work through, but "love" is more commitment and Communication than any hot momma in a red lace teddy....Granted, that is not all bad, but Respectful Communication will go a LONG way. Good Luck on your Journey~
