Started at over 333 pounds
I lost 100 pounds on my own.
Then I had a lot of trauma in my life.
Gained back weight and at 290 lbs I had lap band surgery.
Shortly after surgery my gallbladder had become very sick, I developed Mirizzi Syndrome and spent several weeks in the hospital and lost my gallbladder to a very messy open surgery that left me with over 60 staples.

My lapband helped change my perspective about over eating and food, however I did not succeed in loosing nearly enough weight and struggled with puking and feeling generally sick. I left my lapband unfilled for many years.

I lost weight again, dropping back down to 229 with diet and exercise.
Then again, a lot of trauma in my life. In a short amount of time I experienced a drive by shooting and two of my girlfriends had gotten hit.

My weight rose to 260 at the same time I started having a lot of problems with depression, constipation, sleeplessness, back and neck pain and my skin.

In thinking that my unfilled lapband or scar tissue might be causing my issues I reached out the bariatric department at Kaiser South Sacramento and their doctors and I agreed my band should come out.

In June of 2016, my lapband was removed.

As of today, September 25th 2017 I am back up to 293 and I am considering gastric bypass.
