@@anniebanana, I'm glad your doing well!! I'm doing better then I thought. I feel very little pain from the surgery itself. I have another week of liquids then purees whoohoo!!!! I have two children to take care of all day so I hear ya about the over doing it. I haven't really seen a loss yet. Trying to stay of the scale. Mt requirements have me putting down atleast 60g of Protein which some days have been a mission and 48oz of fluids.I find the meds they put you on are aweful My first follow up Tuesday I'm looking forward to seeing what the scale says I'm concerned I haven't passed my bowel yet not sure how long it takes? Congrats on your progress and your Dream home!

@@Djmohr, I did gain in the hospital about 7lbs. They prepare you for that. I'm just so excited to start this journey!! I had RnY also!! I coming up onmy 6th day so looking forward to it. Thanks for your post. Hoping to have a bowel movement soon maybe that will help lol Congrats on your success

I don't think the cream soups & refriend Beans are a good idea. I'm 5 days post op and I have to be on liquids for 3 weeks. I'm also not going to the bathroom. My surgeon suggested if I go longer then 7 days take dulcalax or something similar. 20lbs you go girl!!!! I haven't seen ant movement on the scale :-( You should also be taking colace one a day to soften your stool. That was prescribed by surgeon. I still have the gas so I'm thinking that's a good sign things are working in there. Good luck!! Hope this rough patch smooths out. God knows we all have them. @@CaitlinT, I'm able to get the recommended Protein down but it is a constant struggle all day. Yesterday I didn't get the 64 oz of Fluid about 40oz. I'm just not hungry! I made the mastake of getting on the scale the smorning :-D I exactly understand why the tell you not to get on the scale after surgery. I weighed more then before surgery :'( Wondering when you begin to see a # change? I understand its a process guess I'm just looking for a plus while I struggle through this liquid phase Good luck

Hey guys, just curious how all you guys are handling today with only ONE day left?!?! @@stephwv, As far as pain it really hasn't been that bad. Getting the Protein in daily is goibg to be a struggle I'm noticing. I've been at it all day. I'm just not hungry. I have three different Protein shakes and there all disgusting I have noticed I've been pretty tired not to bad tho. How are you doing? Any suggestions on the protein?

@@sarahbrianna723125, Everything went well!!! Came home yesterday. Little sore but not bad at all. Focusing on my fluids & fluids which sounds very simple but is a bit of a challenge. Cant wait to start seeing the weight loss!!! Haha protein & fluids

For gastric bypass its two overnights. Surgery was tuesday discharged today

Third day post op waiting to be discharged! ! Feeling ok, no pain meds today. Trying to get all my fluids in which at some points can be a challenge. My taste buds are just not agree with some of these protein shakes.

Hi everyone, second night after surgery! !! I'm feeling pretty good thanks to the pain meds Coming out of surgery was a bit tough but as soon as they got the nausea & pain under control it was much better. Five incisions plus a drain that I'm very much looking forward of removal in the morning. Looking forward to going home tomorrow!!! Good luck to all July surgeries! !!
