    Silly question

My hubby is taking me to Coco Beach Fl for my 40th birthday which is in about 4 weeks!!! Last time I flew was about two years ago and I had to ask for an extension :-( My goal in the next 4 weeks is to hit a 60lb weight loss which means another 7lbs to go I'm hoping that will make it so the belt will click! !!! :-):-):-)

    Feeling discouraged!

I hit a big stall at 3 weeks out!! It lasted for 2 1/2 weeks and started to move again. Its very frustrating but it will pass. I hit another one around the 8th week but only lasted that week then had a big loss after it so hang in there Sent from my SGH-T999L using the BariatricPal App
  7. Hi everyone, I've finially hit the 3 month point! If you would of asked me the week of surgery where do I see myself in 3 months as far as weightloss I differently would of said more then 53lbs down I have no complaints about surgery! I thank god everyday that I am one of the lucky ones with NO complication :-) I know, I know 53lbs is nothing to be disappointed about but there's always a but with me. Everyday, I think am I letting my honeymoon stage pass by? Am I going to be one that just doesn't lose the weight? So many concerns. I have a ways to go (80 more lbs)!! Everyday is a new day Good luck Everyone!! Sent from my SGH-T999L using the BariatricPal App

    THREE MONTHS OUT!

@@KristenLe Thanks!!! I have to remember I wouldn't of lost 53lbs in 3 months without the tool I've been given. So your right it is success! ! I think part of me is afraid to pat myself on the back because its a way letting my guard down. We all know what happens then :'( Does anyone else think this way as they go through this journey?

    THREE MONTHS OUT!

@catwomen7, WOW!!! Over 200lbs that's awesome!! I know its a process. I guess you get caught up in the hype of quick weightloss, but it's not always that way and you begin to second guess your progress. Thanks for the encouragement! !! Sent from my SGH-T999L using the BariatricPal App

    Alcohol after WLS

I'm 3 months out and have gone out for a couple of drinks! I used to enjoy beer but have decided to not drink because of the carbination etc. I enjoyed 2 classes of wine and new that was my limit! I don't drink often so for me that was a big night out lol. I'm not to sure about mixed drinks Remember that is a lot of liquid calories Sent from my SGH-T999L using the BariatricPal App

    Threw up after eating

chicken is one of the hardest foods to digest. I'm 11 weeks out and still cannot get a 1/2c done. Always make sure you are having with some kind of sauce/gravy it helps. Usually the stuck feeling is maybe not being chewed well enough. My nut told me never cut it in cubes try to shred. Good luck Sent from my SGH-T999L using the BariatricPal App

  15. I didn't have my surgery around those holidays but I was the day after the 4th of July so cookouts that weekend was a nono for me.. you have to stay very focused to stay on track. I was home alone with my 5 and 2yr old. It wasn't that bad! My advise would becareful of the jumping on your lap. That was my only issue. Good luck on your journey

  17. I agree the Protein intake is a challenge in the beginning. You will get there! I'm 9 weeks post op and find I'm able to eat a lot more but have been able to appreciate the learning process inthe beginning so help me stay focused on food choices. Its for sure an everyday, every meal challenge. Good luck I agree protein shakes are not the most appetizing :'( I just recently been drinking the whey protein chocolate peanut butter and its not so bad. If you haven't noticed I'm a peanut butter lover lol Stay positive! !!!
  18. @gastavio, I think its not a bad thing to eat bananas, but I add some Peanut Butter with it to make sure its not a wasted snack with no Protein. Just remember STOP when you feel full! Sent from my SGH-T999L using the BariatricPal App

    Coffee Intake

I used to be a big coffee (ice coffee) freak, but I've limited to less then an 8oz cup of hot w/dash of cream & sugar. I don't use sugar substitute because I just can't deal with any of there test :-( On an occasion I might grab a small ice coffee on the weekends, but not often because I like my ice a lot sweeter. 24. @@pamnduck, I am 5 weeks out and had a stand still at week 3 & 4. I have lost 22lbs in 5 weeks which made me feel like I'm not losing fast enough. After ready some of this post I get it!! I also only have one BM a week about every 5 days and its not the most comfortable time :'( I used to take miralax but now I take colase twice a day and hoping it changes soon. I think its all very normal. You have to remember your not taking in as much food and what you are taking in you are using for fuel if that makes since.
