Sooo been fighting Drs for 7 years for this op. On list, been going monthly for 18 months to hospital for weigh ins ( uk Nhs ) but now I'm defo having it I'm in a massive lull in appointments. Last weigh in was May. Had foot op that went very wrong so defo put on a little weight due to not being able to walk, plus no guilt of being weighed. Now gotta wait for physc/nurse and last dietation in October ! So another 2 months with no one to keep me on track. Then just the surgeon to see then date get set. I'm going crazy waiting!!!!! I know it's a long term brain change I need. Just wondered how others got on. When I lost the weight before it's because I was not allowed to eat for 6 weeks. I have spent 7 years trying to get this op, so I'm not expecting it to do all the work for me. Just wondered if others put a lot back on, from not cheating. We all know that you can cheat it one way or another. We all know that we can drink a fat laiden diet to put it back on. Wanted to see others jurneys where like. Thanks guys just wondered? It's been a great Responce. I lost a lot of weight before due to an illness but when I could eat again it all went back on again. What I ate changed just not the amount. So once surgery is done that should be sorted X Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

So I've been big all my adult life. I'm 31 and I've been with my husband 16 years and I've got a 3 year old son. I'm happy in my life except my weight obviously. I can't do a lot that I want to do due to my weight and limits on things I want to do. I.e paint balling, racing cars, climbing, snow boarding etc So post surgery there is a massive to do list! I'm not vein, I'm not expecting a miracle or anything but I am hoping after the recovery I have more energy. But will I stay the same me?!? Genuinely concerned !!!! This is my only worry post op?
