Ok, I'm trying hard to trust this new doctor that is coming on..... But the surgeon I originally had told me I would have to have a full liquid diet for 2 weeks pre op..... And that its dangerious not to follow the diet. In fact, if I didn't that he would know when he opened me up seeing that my liver didnt strink and wouldn't preform surgery. Got the call I've been waiting on today to schedule surgery..... June 14th!! Yay!!! But she said this new doctor doesn't require you having to do the liquid diet pre-op as we have to deal with a lot as it is.... So please please please tell me if any of you guys were told the same thing and if you had good or bad results..... I only want to hear from people that was told the same thing!!! Thank you! My surgeon finally called and Im having surgery June 14th! I'm very scared and excited!!!! This new surgeon doesn't do the 2week post op diet!! Has anyone else not had to do the diet before surgery? Sent from my VS986 using the BariatricPal App

Hey ya'll, So I feel very unprepared for this surgery. I posted before that I can't even get a surgery date, but I also haven't really talked to anyone to prepare me for post op. Can anyone give me insights on what I can expect? Are you in tons of pain? Are you eating the same foods as the 2 weeks before? Anything else I should know? Same here, although mine isn't because of insurance. Its because my surgeon walked out of the practice and now I'm having to wait on a new surgeon. Its so discouraging!!! This is my first time on here but I am having a hard time with my doctor not keeping me in the loop. I live in TN and the surgeon I was going have moved away. They told me at the,beginning I could have the surgery in a few weeks, which would have been the end of February. Once he moved, this new doctor is taking over and can't get his credentials till after June... No one is keeping me in the loop. No one seems to give a S@$! That I really need to know what is going on and when I can at least have some sort of an idea of when my surgery will be... Has this happended to anyone else?? Only other one that's close is in Memphis which is about 6hr away... While the one I am looking at going too is 6minutes away..... I just called them, they said they are waiting on bcbs to recognize the new doctor and that everyone is waiting.... I don't know what to do.. I have. The manager made a big deal about coming in to meet the new doctor. Told me that I would know answers from that visit. When I went to that appt about 3 weeks ago, I waited to be seen for an 1hr. The doctor comes in and asks if I had any questions. When I told,him I wanted to schedule sx he said they would call me...
