Yeah I think I woke up and the pain hit me like a ton of bricks. But they had me set up to give myself my own button to control pain. In truth I slept most of my first day and that evening I was up walking and going to the bathroom. I think they let you control your pain because you better know how much or how little you will need. They just want to make sure you have realistic expectations and that you are aware of all the risks, as well as knowing what effort it would take. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Would you do it again?
rebecca wills replied to char3672's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'd do it in a NY minute, Love my sleeve! 7 weeks in and in clothes I have not worn in years. Feeling tremendous, best feeling. Some moments where I over ate, or ate too fast. But throwing up is not really what most would call it. It is the contents of what went down last. The small contents of your sleeve. So once you've had it happen and know the feeling your careful not to have it happen again. When I had my sleeve it was textbook, no complaints and minimal pain. I came home on Tylenol. Walk in the park, I've given birth 5 times, had my overies removed, had thyroid removed and the sleeve was a cake walk. Good wishes! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Frozen pipcycles
rebecca wills replied to northstar9148's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Let's put this into perspective. The frozen pops are 15 calories, the sugar free aspect is what we are using. The liquid is counting more towards your 64oz. It's not a food. Two after you've gotten in a meal of Protein will be a nice snack. Living on pops is just silly. Even if you had 8 of them it takes time and you have other things you need to get down. Just eat them. Ok so how bad is this gonna hurt?
rebecca wills replied to pixystix0116's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Keep it positive and remember it is rare to have complications if you follow instructions. I went home with a script for pain meds and use two. I used Tylenol mostly. I went shopping first week. Second week to the beach. Every day is better than the day before. Remember that you've changed your life and health to the positive not the negative! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

You have the right attitude!???? hang in there your gonna be amazed you can enjoy a steak and potatoes but just two to 3 bites. So make sure you choose the best most tender ones. Dig into the middle with lots of juicy flavor! No guilt???? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
I had my daughters sangria that is delish. It was one month post, just a splash. It was at a special occasion and it took me a while to drink it. Just remember blood sugar spikes can be really bad. Protein, protein is a must. Moderation is key, life must be enjoyed and lived. Quality of life involves greatest portion of your life living with great care of your sleeve. Wine has its place in life as far as I am concerned. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I worked in nursing and they usually diagnose it once they see the stool and smell the stool. C-diff has a pungent sweet smell. And has a slime texture. Once you've smelled it its unmistakable. If at home Kefir is a very good form of natural probiotic. It contains a living culture that can fight the bacteria. First antibiotic therapy though. The complications you've experienced are classic causes to open you up with a low immunity. So Kefir is what you use once home. Do not add sweeteners. Put it into you Protein shake as you liquid. It will rebound your good gut bacteria. Then start putting Chlorophyll into Water. It will strengthen and remove toxins. You will crave it once you start it. Good wishes! No faith in myself after honeymoon phase
rebecca wills replied to tenseintexas's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My first month in now, and truthfully can say I shared your concern at first, but realized that the point of this surgery IS to give us the leg up to succeed in our weight loss. Low carb is practical, and once you've started you will see there are trade offs. Compared to how crappy I felt a month ago to now, I feel amazing!! The energy! I'm so happy I took my leap of faith!
