I had a JP drain on the left side and it took a little while for that one to feel better. I think that pain is normal. As long as it's not red or swollen. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

@@Steph~L~16 it's been pretty rough not gonna lie. Think I'm doing better now but have been super sick with all of the food I have ate. Cottage cheese and yogurt is the only thing that I have consistently been able to hold down. Hope you're doing well. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

After surgery--opinions, please

I work in the medical field and also had WLS 5 days ago. Although, rest is detrimental, so is walking, sipping your Water, and getting back to normal. My second day was my hardest. The gas pains were horrible but thanks to walking and gas x strips it was short lived. I say go but have a comfortable chair and getting up and walk around every hour or so. I think you'll be amazed how much better you'll feel. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Conflicting Information From Doctors/Patients And My Fears

I have been a Diet Coke-a-Holich for 20 years. I really love the burn of the fizz. But that is my vice my "drug of choice" My health, my happiness, and my future is what really mattered to me when making my decision. I didn't like Water but I learned to. I tried the Mio orange cream and that was tolerable. I gave up my Diet Coke on Valentine's Day with my surgery scheduled for 04/20/16. With the exception on one the week before surgery, I knew I couldn't go back. It's better if I stay completely away. I know people that have had it after WLS but again, I can't go back. I think it's just your perspective and what you want more. Good luck. It's a huge decision. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
