  1. I am 30 weeks post op and down 75 post op and about 15+ beforehand. All in I'm down 90 ish but the last 6+ weeks the loss has really slowed down. I do not exercise and I'm 69 years old. I don't eat a helluva a lot because I get indigestion from just about everything. I take Nexium 2x a day but I am going to try Prilosec to see if I get better results. I want to lose another 35 lbs but I may need to exercise to accomplish the last mile. Soft foods treat me better but still cause some discomfort. I would encourage myself and others to just keep on trying and follow the rules of the program. There is a price to pay for taking the Sleeve Route to weight loss, but it's definitely worth it in the long run.

    acid reflux problems...worried

I am 12 weeks out after the Sleeve and I am down 50 lbs + about 20 before the operation. I have acid reflux or mild indigestion after almost everything I eat. It is very discouraging but I believe that I still eat too fast which is a no no. I take Nexium now in the morning and evening and I think it might be helping. I definitely have been skipping meals in order to avoid the discomfort. I was advised to try and stick with soft food as much as possible. I drank some wine a few times and had a burning feeling the next day. I have found that hamburgers agree with me as do omelets and Soups. I see my surgeon next week for my 3 month checkup and I'll ask him about the indigestion. I am losing weight nicely but I think its because I skip meals. I also don't get in the 48-72 oz of fluids that has been recommended either. I suggest that we all had bad eating habits which are hard to break. Remember that they operated on our stomachs and not our minds. Best wishes Bigelowrock

Thanks for the feedback. I definitely still eat too fast and I bet that is a big part of my indigestion. Trouble is I was a fast and big eater all my life and its been a tough habit to break. I take nexium now morning and evening and it seems to be helping. I also bought a Digestive aid in the Vitamin Shop. But its disappointing to to have to eat so little and then feel uncomfortable. The 50 lb weight loss in 3 months has helped ease that pain. Bigelowrock

I am now 12 weeks out as of tomorrow as are you ....I'm down 50 since operation but find that I have slight to moderate indigestion/ uncomfortable feeling after I eat almost anything. So now I find myself skipping meals rather than get the uncomfortable feeling......anyone else have such problems?

    8 week post op

I am 7 weeks out and I lost 30 lbs the 1st 3 weeks and nothing the past 4 weeks. It is very frustrating. I eat very little and have some indigestion after every meal. I take nexium for acid reflux. I don't exercise and I don't think I get the 48-64 oz of water daily. However, the doctor tells me not to weigh in every day and try not to be a scale watcher. However I don't think I'd mind as much if occasionally I saw some weight loss. Bigelowrock

    Help in a Stall

I lost 30 lbs the 1st 3 weeks after my sleeve and I Haven't lost a lb in the next 3 1/2 weeks. I am horrified but I am told that it will pass too. It certainly is discouraging since I'm not eating very much at all. I have Spinal Stenosis which makes walking difficult and so I'm not exercising at this point. I am also not getting enough water either. Good luck, Bigelowrock
