  1. I really don't know what to do! I feel like I'm eating too much. I know I'm not necessarily. Just more than the early days I guess. How much do yall eat? I eat about a cup to maybe a cup and a half total during each sitting. I feel like it's too much and keeping me from losing. I get excited seeing the scale move a couple pounds thinking I've broke the dang cycle then it's right back to it. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

    Regretting

I'm pretty sure all of us felt this way top begin with. I swear taking a shower nearly made me pass out for the first two weeks. I hated EVERYONE who continued to tell me, "it gets better/easier. " I felt like they were telling me what they thought I wanted or needed to hear to try to help. You know what though, after that two weeks it really did get better. I no longer was crying over everything. I was able to taste food. I had ridiculous poundage dropped. Now, 5 months later, I'm down 82 pounds. Trust me, trust us, it does get better. 15. I will not lie.. my first 10-14 days were mental hell. I have never had complications but it was a psychological journey I never expected to have to endure. People would come by or call to check on me, I was so overwhelmed all I could do was burst into tears. Head hunger and the television were my complete enemy. Not to mention, getting weak because I DESPISED the shakes post op. I refused to drink them by day 3. Everyone kept saying, hang in there, it gets better. I think, I though, I hated them for telling me that. I completely resented that statement. But.. you know what? It was the whole honest truth. By day 14, I was feeling like a new person. I went from hardly doing anything from weakness and a depressed feeling.. to fishing and walking and cooking for my family. Now, I am 4 and a half months post op. I'm down 77 pounds. Knowing how I feel now.. I'd do it again in a heart beat. I wouldn't have said that if you asked me in the first two weeks though. On the plus side.. the pain and recovery aren't bad. My gallbladder removal and recovery was way worse. Best wishes, you're in for a great journey. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

  25. Let that anxiety relax. I won't lie.. my first 10 days or so.. all I could do was cry and continuously say, "what the hell have I done to myself?" I assure you, you will too. Every time you ask someone for advice you will hear, "it gets better I promise." Which QUICKLY feels like just something everyone says to help you push through. Let me tell you... it does get better and easier with each day. Around 2 weeks out, there was a noticeable improvement every day. Then the weight just drops like hot cakes. Relax, you'll do wonderful. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
