Gummies would probably be the best solution period. The doctors office told me I "have" to use their brands. I can see from all the varieties people use, that's not really true. I may have to try this, soon. Thanks! Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

That sounds like a great idea. Thank you! Sent from my LG-H631 using the BariatricPal App It actually worked for me, and I've seriously been struggling. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App No I havent. They warned me away from the blender for the first little whike, saying it would make the shakes frothy. But I do like the mint idea. Thank you! Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

I actually am going through this too. Last night, I put a tiny piece of grilled chicken in my mouth. Sucked on it, chewed it, and spit it out. Same with an individual shrimp. I never swallowed anything. Maybe I'm insane for trying, but let me tell you... it was satisfying. Just to have a flavor that wasn't a sweet flavor was a big deal. It got me over my mental hump. Day 5 post-0p. Feel cloudy, sleepy, anxious and sometimes nauseous
jccanada replied to YumiMumi's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Same here. I had mine done on the 20th. Sometimes, I find myself struggling of focus on what I'm reading or seeing on my phone. It literally looks like a blur sometimes. I have had a strange go with this. People will call to check on me, or come by to see me, and I do not even want to speak. Literally don't even want to open my mouth to convey words. I'm not sure what that's about. When I get asked how I feel, trying to explain it makes me tear up. Maybe I'm going insane!? Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App -
I been hearing alot about unjury. The chicken soup flavor has been highly recommended. I'm definately going to try that one. Thanks for suggestion. Blessings on your journey.???? Sent from my LG-H631 using the BariatricPal App I have unjury brand everything. I tried the chicken soup the day I got home. I liked it until I fell asleep, woke uo, and took a sip... it was cold. It has ruined me. I can't stand the smell or thought of it now. I do have Celebrate tomato soup... but after the other one, I have no desire to try it. I tried something this morning and it has helped me get down my Protein this morning. I have been chewing (very carefully) on sugar free mint trident. I have had an absolute horrid taste in my mouth. So anyways, I chewed a piece for about 5 minutes to get the taste out of my mouth. Well, the mint seems to be soothing to me anyways. (Could be mind over matter). I decided I was going to force myself to at least get these first 8 ounces of chocolate unjury down. I put my piece of mint gum above where I drink from my shaker. So before I drink I smell the mint, not the protein shake. Besides the fact it gives it a mint chocolate chip sensation. I've with ease got the Fluid down since I last posted this morning. Just thought I'd share with yall! Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

Hello, I'm 32 years old and live in Arkansas. I had surgery for RNY on the 20th. I've lost 14 pounds since I've been home as of the 21st. I'm really struggling to get in enough fluids especially the Protein. I feel weak. I'm sure everyone does. It just adds extra stress thinking about it though. I'm SOOOO over this liquid diet! Same here. I had mine on the 20th. The pain isn't horrible. I do find myself needing a pain pills by mid day. I'm severely struggling with the Protein shakes. I can drink Water fine. Just not much of it. The shakes gross me out completely post surgery. Since Wednesday I'm down 9 pounds. I feel weak and have the complete and utter desire to eat. Eat anything! -Something. It's the strangest feeling. The only word I have for it is: overwhelming. Someone will ask how I feel... I tear up, wanting to cry! I have no desire to speak words out of my mouth, it's like it is a hassle. Surely this will all pass... Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

But I am taking 1 or 2 pain pills a day. Don't do without them, there's no reason in the world to do that. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

I had mine done on the 20th too. In my head I'm starving to death. The Protein shakes are tasting bad to me. I am not able to get them down due to grossing me out. The chewable Vitamins are the worst. I can hardly stomach them. I've tried the chicken broth and chicken injury. I liked it for a couple hours. Now, I can't stand that either.
