DR. C. i had my band jan 31st. it wasnt long after that i could eat almost anything without any problems , although i have a band, i feel like im doing everything myself to just maintain my weight without losing. my nurse practitioner ( who i see and who does the fills) tells me they dont usually do fills for up to the first year. personally, i feel like this is a terrible business practice to keep me as a paying patient after my global payment expires, ( but thats me being skeptical). however i dont see how the band works without any fills yet. does this make any sense to you or should i consult a new fill doctor? thanks. hi all, i had surgery jan 31st and still cant get a fill. if they tell me more behavior modification one more time................ why could it be they dont want to fill me? i can eat a horse with no issues and no problems, i need a fill but they tell me they dont fill most poeple for the first year. its starting to sound suspicious to me. i never see the doc just the nurse practitioner, who does the fills. i dont understand why i had the surgery if im having to do all the work myself.. am i expecting too much? thanks Roger-Fl

im having these mini burps but not really burping just discomfort and moved to full liquids with bean and bacon soup pureed and so on, trying to get 2 slim fast low card diet protein drinks in but its tough with the water too. ( actually i drink crystal light) still have some pain and soreness and hurts a little to ride in car. is this normal? any suggestions tell me anything thanks Roger

hi all, im scheduled for surgery the 31st of jan. however im having to have an endoscopy the 20th to see what causing my stomache problems now. if it turns out i have a hernia, can hernia repair and band be done at same time as with rny? i wasnt sure what to expect coming up. lets hope its not a bleeding ulcer or anything worse. thanks Roger -FL>

HI all, i was jujst finally approved and thought i was having a heart attack sunday so i went to urgent care, the doc believes its coming from my stache, a gastric problem, sooooo, im still not feeling good but it is a little better without the pressure in my chest and back, i have to have an endoscopy now before surgery in 4 weeks, so now im worried and have no clue what to do to prepare and what to buy etc etc etc. thanks for any input as im kinda confused and very nervous. thanks ROGER-FL

jack, i havent heard of that new vitamin lol im not that old yet. and i cant have dairy cause im lactose intolerant....... BUT PLEASE KEEP ME INFORMED THOUGHT I APPRECIATE IT and a good laugh sure dont hurt right now either) thanks ROGER-FL

thanks everyone im almost 6'4-6'5 350 lbs my surgery is going to be outpatient, found out today ive been submitted and ill have approval ( hopefully) in about a week. so the closer it gets the more real its becoming as well. I feel totally good about the surgeon ive selected, after all im driving about 2 hrs away for him, dr jawad has an impecable record of being a perfectionist. thanks Roger-fl.

HI all, i was just wondering how i might be able to prepare for surgery should have amy date in a week, im very nervous ( understatement) and i was wondering if there are certain vitamins ( chewable) certain meds or anything i should have before surgery and what kind of protein without dairy could i get? im really starting to freak out now that the office told me i was submitted and should have an answer in a week or 2. its getting closer and becoming more real. thanks Roger-fl.
