If you have anyone who doesn't understand I would try to explain it to them better...and if they seem to not care or ignore you then I am not sure what to do. I have had several friends who kind of stopped talking to me when I told them I was trying to have WLS. Some people just freak out about it, I dunno if they are jealous or worried or what maybe all of the above. All we can do is try to help them understand it. It's not easy for either of us. I wish you all luck.

Nicotine is a horrid thing to try to quit. I am sorry you are having so much trouble. I wish you luck on killing the habit though.

doing hi Protein and low carbs is perfect for shrinking the liver. I am glad you are thinking so positively about it. Good luck with everything. A lot of people don't even realize if they dont stick to their pre op diet they might sabatage their own surgery. The liver is over top of the top of the stomach where the band needs to be placed and if the liver is too hard to move out of the way, you may wake up after the operation with a bunch of incisions but no band and have to do the diet all over again. So to everyone in this diet stage...be positive and think about getting that band

I quit smoking cold turkey 2 years ago. I dunno if I could have done it right before going into the process of getting surgery. I wish you all the luck in the world though. It's a hard habit to drop.

I've never been fond of popcorn so I don't think I'll worry about it. It gives me tummy issues.

Congratulations on losing so much weight! I am 5'9 myself that's why my starting bmi was only 61.9 hehe but either way. I hope to have as much success as you. You are a great role model for us who haven't been banded yet or people who are newly banded or have been banded but are stuck. Thanks so much for this post.

this doesnt sound like migraines...sounds like headaches from not eating enough and that happens to you when you are on diets for pre op. I suffer from migraines hate hate hateeeeeee them :|
