An hour and 45 minutes 'til polls close here!

Well...it's not all people 50 and older but that's the majority. There are people in their 30's etc with younger kids and some older families with teens and people my age. But either way I'd say about 50% of the town is people 50 and older. There's an elementary school grades K-6 then a HS grades 7-12. The HS only has 600 and some kids. Back when I graduated in '04 We had prob 65 students in our graduating class. LOL.

I start my special diet (preop) on Monday. My surgeon wants me on a Protein Shake for Breakfast, one for lunch and lean meat and green veggies for dinner (skinless chicken thighs, fish fillets with no skin etc...spinach etc.) I do this for 2 weeks and I need to be down 5 lbs in the first week of it. Between these meals if needed I am allowed to have sugarfree Jello and sugarfree popsicles.

A friend of mine IMed me today...(he's for McCain)...he said...if Obama is elected within a week or two he will be assinated. He said mark my word too...he scares me...

It was very tasteless. It's sad when people go that far to show their political sides.

I've had a sign in my yard for quite awhile and many of my neighbors have their mccain signs up. Nothing has happened to my house or me due to having an Obama sign up...but I do live in a small town...full of people 50+ mind you.

That is a horrible thing to say. Just horrible.

My heart still goes out to the elderly lady who was ill who still insisted to go vote. I dunno who she was for but that is awesome...when most people are just too lazy to go. The lines here are CRAZY never seen anything like it before. My road is packed with cars...people going in and out...it's very crowded (I live across the street from the polling place). It has been packed since 7AM this morning and I feel that it will be packed until polls close here at 7:30. All that I can hope is that my state of WV which is normally a republican state...votes blue. Either way it's amazing to see so many people turning out to vote!

First time I ever had to stand in such a long line. It was so worth it though to stand there and talk to awesome people and make history with my vote. Even if I stood in line for such I long time time to take 5 minutes to push some buttons...it was so worth it. I am so happy to be part of history with this election.

Just because Obama is much younger than McCain and has less experience doesn't mean he won't be a good president. Also because he isn't a war veteran doesn't mean he is any less of a person.:thumbup:

Isn't it awesome? I felt bad that she was sick but she was so happy to be there to vote.

I'm so impatiently waiting for November 10th. Ugh lol. I stood in line today from 11am to 12:30 people waiting to vote. Yay.

There was an older lady standing in line today who was ill...she stood there and waited for an hour and a half just like I did...even threw up once...still waited and voted. I have a lot of respect for that.

Half of the mccain ads...well most of them if not all...are rather rude...it shows who really should be president. Go Obama!

I just got home from standing in line for an hour and a half. Go Obama!

I voted Obama!! Stood in line for an hour and 30 minutes in a small town too prob 3000 people in this town lol.
