The sleep apnea test is where you stay overnight in the hospital in a sleep lab and they have sensors all over you and they watch you on camera to see if you have problems breathing while sleeping etc. The sleep apnea won't go against you because it's a comorbid. If you end up having it it can actually help you get approved.

Guess what! 6 month diet is over October 3rd! Paperwork gets faxed to insurance October 6th!
Preop diet is starting toward the end of October. I just have to finish these last 2 tests next week and then get an EGD in October. Lapband land here I come! Oh and I lost half a lb LOL not much to be proud of but I am super excited about everything else. -
So. I finish my 6 month diet for insurance on October 3rd. Paperwork gets sent in October 6th. :lovechoc: YAYAYAYAYAYAY But yeah still a few more tests to go Preop in middle to end of october. Surgery in November. :scared2:

I don't think we do. I like NewVembers but Notorious NewVembers is cute too. Doesn't seem as if many people are in this section talking yet. My last nutritional appt for my supervised diet is october 3rd and my paperwork gets sent into insurance october 6th :lovechoc:

Lol I was down .5 lb. Wowwwww. She said I will probably stay around the same weight until surgery. I have 2 more weigh ins next one is September 16th then October 3rd then on October 6th my paperwork gets sent into insurance. after that the post op and stuff begins!

I have DGA (Diversified Group Administrators) When I started the program they were only a month into having it at CCMH and I was told I didn't have to lose any but I wasn't allowed to gain. I dunno if it's like that now. I didn't have to lose a specific amount. My insurance wanted a bunch of stuff that other insurances don't want, that's why I am doing several tests this month. I had to see a pulmonologist for my insurance and he wants all the extra testing. My insurance isn't too bad though. In october when I start preop and get my EGD(endoscopy) I have to pay up front 1700 dollars. That's not too bad considering it's all 17,000 dollars for it.

My seminar was April 5th. I started my 6th month supervised diet on May 6th. It has gone by so quickly. Thanks for the congrats. I haven't stopped eating carbs but I quit drinking carbination and caffiene back in february and that really jump started my weight loss. I try to exercise at least 1 to 2 miles 4 to 5 days a week. Lindsey has me on between 1200 and 1600 calories I usually eat around 1200-1300.

Hello all. I am a WV person too. My surgeon is Kaplan . I go for my 9th weigh in on Friday. I have lost 26 lbs so far. I love everyone down there. Jeannie, Lindsey and all of them are so nice. I look forward to my appts and they are very helpful. My surgery is supposed to be sometime in November. I am so excited. I started at 419 lbs and I am down to 393. Hope to be down more on friday and before surgery.

No I didn't do what my mom said. I was told not to have relationships etc/not to have sex. I had sex but I used protection. But I wasn't very comfortable with my body I was over 300 lbs. I'm sure I would have been worse off if I was at a healthy weight. I saw her daughter carry the baby out...but I knew it was palin's 4 month old son. Considering she just had a baby in april and the fact that she said her 4 kids were with her besides her son who was away for training for Iraq. -
Posting to say I hate cleaning and hot weather.

BJean I always adore your posts...they're fantastic. Has anyone else heard on the news today how Palin's 17-year-old daughter is 5 months pregnant? Maybe if the USA had more money and schooling for birth control/etc. like Obama wants...that wouldn't have happened. And Palin says she is proud of her daughter and boyfriend who she plans on marrying due to the baby. -
