I'm having problems with my insurance...they said it might be a month before I have approval. I am going to pester them daily though and get my paperwork approved quicker hopefully. Wish me luck. If things don't go well I might be a December bander...or I might not be able to get banded at all. SO pleaseeeeee PRAY for me to be a Notorious November with ya'll. -hug-

Submitted to Diversified Group Administrators Today!
Froggi replied to Froggi's topic in Insurance & Financing
So got ahold of the insurance today they have my paperwork and said they were sending it to review today. But then they said it would take a month for it to be reviewed and approved. My surgery is supposed to be next month. I hope they just say that and then it gets approved quicker. -worried- -
So my paperwork is being faxed to Diversified Group Administrators today. I was told it could take 1 to 2 weeks to get approved. I called today to see if they had it yet and they said not yet. So we will see. Does anyone here have this insurance and had luck with it? I am praying I get approved. I have several comorbids and I started at a weight of 419. Down to 392.5 on the 6 month diet they required. I hope it goes through quickly.

Do you guys think it will take a month?

I have a very important question... Have any of you been told by your insurance that it would take a month or longer for the review board to look at it and decide if you can have surgery or not and it took a lot less time. About 30 minutes ago I got off the phone with the insurance. They received my paperwork and told me it's going to the review board now...but that it would take at the LEAST a month before it will be approved or not. I told them my surgery is supposed to be in November and I don't have insurance at the end of the year anymore....and they said sorry it will take a month... Has anyone ever had that happen and it took less time? I am going insane. My doc's office told me not to call them about insurance until October 20th. So I am supposed to go insane and cry everyday not knowing what's going on? My doc's office told me it would take 2 weeks. But thing is they never had anyone go through their program with my insurance...so how would they know they said they based it on everyone elses. I have a huge feeling in my gut that I went through all of this shit for nothing. I am very depressed right now.

Boo Boo Kitty's PS Journey

I think we're always going to feel fat...I know I will probably always think I am because I have been big my whole life and I think most of us have too. Our bodies may be shrinking and looking better but I think it takes longer for our mindset to think hey I am actually healthy now not huge. Dunno lol -
my feet get sweaty if I wear socks to bed. :| I just wrap my blanket around them lol

I had birthday cake on my birthday the day before a weigh in and still lost. It's not your enemy as long as it's in moderation.
