omg Marv I agree with you so much. We are all used to eating so much then when we eat so little it's like WTF the brain is screaming at you.

Half of the hunger is in your head, you have to learn to control it. I wish you luck.

From what I've learned at appts. It sounds like it's his port. I'm not sure, nor a doctor so you should call. lol.

Congrats on surgery. You're definetly going to be hungry when on liquids. I hope things go well throughout healing. Try drinking more.

Hi and welcome to LBT. Congrats on your banding, but the clots suck don't they. When I had my gallbladder out at 15 I got a blood clot in my leg. Clots can happen anytime you aren't very active especially while in the hospital/while healing from surgery at home etc. Us future bandsters know that there is a chance for complications so no worries about scaring us off lol. Once again welcome and hope to hear from you more and about upcoming successes.

Even though I have not been banded yet I do know a lot about it. The only reason I havent been banded already is my insurance wanting me to diet first. I just want to help and encourage people to be healthier and happier.

I've never heard of a doctor saying not to do lowfat after lapband. Or not keep track of calories. Seems odd to me. Might want to ask him why he says that.

I hope that too. It's better to lose slowly than lose nothing at all and to learn while going through it. Losing any amount of weight is fantastic.

Welcome to LBT. I've seen several people on here who had RYN and then got lapbands and hernias shouldnt be a problem either. I hope you get the answers you are looking for and that this site helps you out.

I think everyone should have the option to have insurance that helps with WLS

A lot of lapband surgeons and nurses etc recommend this site to learn more etc...I know it's the person's decision...but things people say on here do effect a lot of people.

Hmm if it's that noticable they might be frightened to say something thinking you would be offended as in sexually etc. Other than that I don't know. Men are hard to understand...women are too...I don't understand myself half the time. LOL

I say if you have any discomforts to ask your doctor.

I think people are afraid to say something because they might be wrong. Some people might think that you lost weight but you actually gained and that would make someone feel terrible so they just say well I should keep to myself.

I think this thread is great. There has been so many threads lately with negativity and saying they think they've been duped, or it's a hoax. This right here proves the band is a wonderful thing if you work hard and eat right.

I'm not saying people don't have bad experiences etc. These posts won't make me not have surgery. I am just saying some people will join this site to see the positive things about surgery...and then seeing these negative things like this might be discouraged to have surgery. :confused_smile:

They don't know the reason for her death yet. Her husband isn't blaming the band. But yes it is sad that she is gone. May she RIP
