EKG...how do they work etc.
Froggi replied to Froggi's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks so much you two. I feel dumb. Lol My nurse is making me have an EKG because when she checked my heart she heard an irregular heartbeat. She said it could be a one time thing or a problem. Just wondering. Thanks! -

What if I 'Pre Diet' Myself out of Qualification?
Froggi replied to Jameskc's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would call the insurance and ask if they use the weight and BMI from before you started the 6 month diet as well. -
I think I would shout it out from the rooftops that I finally found something that worked for me and would want people to know! I've been telling several people already that I'm in the process of it and people think it's a wonderful thing!

I think that's a good idea. So it's easy to find them.

So My insurance called me back yesterday about maybe shortening the 6 month diet so I won't be so close to December with my surgery when I am getting kicked off insurance Dec 31st. She said as of now they can't do anything but if I lose a good amount in the next month or 2 that they might be able to shorten it then. So here's to more waiting and worrying that everything won't get done in time. I sure hope everything works out. I wish I wasn't turning 23 this year now! Oh well.:rolleyes2:

It depends how many times you have to met with them etc. I have to meet with mine throughout 6 months and she's teaching me how to eat better weighs me each time and we go over my food charts of what all I ate between the appts, exercise, and Water intake. Everyone is going to tell you something different because everyone has different doctors and nutritionists. lol We can give you the just though. Wish you luck.:rolleyes2: -
I wish you luck toomuchsusie. Hope all goes well.:rolleyes2:

But I have my 3rd nutritional appt june 4th then I'll have 9 more after that and I should be done with it in october! I wish all of you guys just beginning your process luck. I hope to hear more about your journeys. -
I just ate an entire bag of Oreo cookies...
Froggi replied to Abby Normal's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Aww Abby. I do hope things start going better for you. When I get hungry now I drink some Water or eat a yogurt and I don't let my mom or me buy any more junk food that I CAN binge on. Lol yesterday I was sick and really hungry from being sick all day and having nothing in me so I ate like 3 bowls of salad. Filled me up plus it wasnt bad for me at all. I used to do exactly what you did. Buy Cookies eat a whole bag, feel depressed over what I did, eat more because I was depressed etc. I dunno what came over me I havent even had surgery yet! I've come to see when I eat a bad food now like chocolate or chips or fast food not even over eating just eating normally it makes me feel sick to my stomach and I'll have a stomach ache for a few hours. I've just gotten into the healthier eating mode wanting to lose weight on my 6 month diet before surgery. I've been eating so much healthy food that I am not even getting the right amount of calories in so I had to add some things that had a bit of higher calories so I could get past 1200 a day. I was down in the 800, 900, 1000. Anyway I wish you luck.:cursing: -
My nutritionist told me not to go below 1200 calories. Said to stay between 1200-1600. She said going below 1200 was unhealthy and would cause my body to start eating away at the muscle instead of fat and go into starvation mode.

So, my psych evaluation is Friday May 16th at 9:30 AM until around 1pm. Can anyone tell me what to expect or give me an idea of what all happens (especially if you have had a psych evaluation that lasted this long. Responses will be greatly appreciated.

my blue shield HMO medical group exp so far
Froggi replied to taylormomto6's topic in Insurance & Financing
My insurance requires all the same things yours does taylor. The time really does go quickly. I should be having my surgery in November. Thing is even if they accept you into the program you can still be denied afterwards if you don't pass your psych eval or don't do something right in your 6 month time. I have 5 months left then have to fax all my paperwork from the 6 months in and wait for a response. Let us know how things go.
