The only people that needed to be sorry were my dad. Thanks though I appreciate it. The shitty childhood sure makes you a lot stronger in the long run but I also have my times when I fall apart. Life is hard sometimes. I appreciate the kind words.

I'm just starting my 2nd month of my 6 month diet. I need all the support I can get.

I weigh myself every two weeks. I would probably do it more if I had a scale that went past 400 lol oh well. Once I get below 400 I am sure I'll probably buy a scale lol

I grew up in a horrible, abusive, alcoholic, drug infested household. I was beat, verbally abused, and worse. Much worse. Even after all that if my child was throwing a hissy fit and the only way to stop them was to spank them. I would. Spanking isn't abuse. It's simply a way to try to make the kid not do what they were doing. Slapping a kid on the bum is saying DON'T DO THAT, just like you do with a dog. Abuse is abuse. Spanking is not.

I know how it is but once I started learning about the lapband I stopped eating horribly all together. I want food and I crave it, I want chips, I want candy bars...but I don't do it because I know if I am in the process of trying to get things done and pig out because I have to wait for my 6 month period to be over I would ruin everything and have to start all over. If I am craving something I eat sugar free chocolate pudding or drink Water. Or go walk or get online. I do something to keep my hands preoccupied as well as my mind. It works. I don't want to ruin the good that I am already having even though I won't be banded until November.

Wish you lots of luck with your surgery. You shouldn't have anything to worry about. A lot of people on LBT get surgery in Mexico:thumbup:

Lol, my library in my tiny town is barely 1 room. It's not really even a library. They don't have them. :smile:

It's different for everyone. Some people lose nothing some lose more than 20 lbs. Some people crave nothing some crave everything. People can give you the just of it all but it ends up different for us all.

I'm supposed to be banded in November, after I finish this stupid 6 month diet that's making me rather impatient. lol

I was told by my doctor not to drink alcohol for a year after being banded. After that in moderation.

No idea. My pre op diet is going to be 2 protein drinks 1 breakfast 1 lunch and a high protein dinner sensible size with meat and veggies

I haven't been banded yet but I do everything you have said. I plan on continuing to do it after being banded too.
