Have you ever been told to avoid sugar free items?
Froggi replied to yellowroseaz's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doc says that I SHOULD eat sugarfree items. I have no problem with them making me hungry either. I've never heard of such a thing to be truthful. I guess if they told you to aviod sugarfree and stuff with sugar buy things with low amounts? -
Lol wow, exploding stomachs. Is she all there...up there? Lol either way I got a laugh out of that.

Can't stop eating!
Froggi replied to travelinsnorkel's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You guyssssssss I wish you so much luck. I know it can be hard not to want to eat things we might not ever be able to have again. I already kicked all those things out of my diet, I had to for my 6 month insurance diet. Anyway I just drink lots and lots and lots of Water and try to keep myself busy. If I want something that I shouldnt have I have a small amount and save the rest for another time. It also helps to write everything you put in your mouth and swallow down! It lets you know what all good and bad you are putting in your tummy. I know it's hard to do, but we have to have some willpower people. Stand up for your health. I know you want to be happy and healthy. Try with all your might, you don't want to end up having too fatty of a liver. That would be horrible! I wish you all luck...as I say it's easier said than done, but if my 410.5 lb self who was addicted to eating bags and bags of chips and chocolate can do it so can you!!! GOOOOOOOOOD LUCK. <3 -
How did you choose your goal weight?
Froggi replied to Bobbirs's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I chose a goal that would put me at an almost healthy BMI. I want my BMI to be 25. 25 is considered overweight but heh 24.9 is healthy for me but whatever. I am 5'9. I think I would be perfectly fine at 170. -

Any advice for my pre-op diet/exercises?
Froggi replied to Tyler883's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For the legs, I would do walking and move them around as much as possible. That will increase the circulation in them, reducing the possibility of clots. As for dieting, I would say try to cut down sugar, and carbs. Try to lessen the amount of calories you eat each day by a little and gradually keep doing that weekly. Stay more active and don't eat a lot of high fat, sugary foods. Good luck. -

My Daughter needs Lap Band Surgery!!!
Froggi replied to alenzini's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm sorry but I don't think anyone under the age of 18 should be having such a life changing surgery. At 16 I wouldn't have been able to do it. It takes a lot of willpower and I don't think a teen can deal with that... it takes a lot of willpower for all of us who are over 18 even OLDER. Either way I don't agree with someone who isn't even an adult yet to have surgery. Just my opinion. -
Wow thanks for the inspirational post. I hope you get to feeling better.

You can have beer 1 year after according to my doctor but my doc never wants me to drink soda again. As for surgery and learning about it. That's wonderful Welcome to LBT.
