I was offered gastric bypass at a younger age and said hell no because it was so invasive. How can you say that your kids are smarter by choosing a more invasive surgery than banding. I have friends who has bypass and in the long run, they gained their weight back, are eating badly again and aren't happy with themselves yet again. With Lapband, you can control it your whole life. If you are hungry and think you need a fill, you call your doctor see what he or she says and get a fill and be on your way. Lapband is like a little surgery every time you need a fill, I think it's the smartest decision I will have ever made in my life, and I cannot wait until I get it done. As for saying your kids are smarter by choosing a surgery that causes dumping syndrome, and rerouting the stomach/intestines and is a lot more dangerous, I'd say that's stupid. But hey that's me. Surgery isn't a miracle either way. No matter what kind you have. You still have to work at it. NO matter it be bypass or banding. If you want to change your life bad enough and be at a healthier weight, you gotta work for it. That's all I can say. Byebye.

Lol I might buy one then my mom always said you will break it!! Made me feel bad. But either way I have only done it on top once in my life and it was rather hard, I was on top and had my knees to the side down on the mattress and I kind of just rocked, because I didn't have the strength to use my legs to bounce up and down or anything else. I haven't tried it on top since. Also when I try doggy guys always seem to have problems getting it in and keeping it in, so I have always just done missionary, which can get boring. And in missionary I get tired too cause my fat legs get in the way and I have to keep them lifted up in the air with my arms. Sex isn't fun, it's such a job for me.

I hope as I lose a hump doesn't form. I know my grandma had one. I don't want one lol. I know I have a lot of back fat though.

I want some new bras but I want to wait in fear of me losing more even before surgery will make them too big.

I'm a full bush right now too, I know horrible lol, I normally keep it clean. I think I like to keep it so clean shaven is because I am young and I am not married or in a relationship, I dunno what's going to come along...LOL I know but yeah...But it's been quite awhile since I have had sex, so I havent even shaved my legs recently LOL. I don't show them so I see no reason to shave them until I feel better showing them off.

I dunno, my therapist told me I have issues with men, I don't know if it's that or I am just younger and thinking about men viewing these things and maybe enjoying some of it etc bothers me. I have a pretty bad past with men, not just relationships either, I guess that has something to do with it. Sorry for being so immature, I guess.

6 incisions is very normal. Some people have less but some have 6. It all depends on the doctor really.

I say it's good you decided to wait. It was dumb of them to call. It wouldn't have been fair to not even have a week of your pre op diet, that could have screwed things up if you decided to do surgery on the 12th. Either way I hope you have a wonderful vacation and after that you will be getting banded YAY

I was told it should last a lifetime, but of course there's always a chance something might happen. I just have to keep that risk in mind. You can't just not do something because of a risk, almost everything in life has a risk, well everything. You take a risk everyday driving your car, taking a bite of food and not choking. Etc. Either way I would say the surgery helping you is much more of a thing to happen then it needing to be taken out.

A lot of people that are very high in weight and bmi's get lapband and are successful too. I am getting lapband in november, and I started at a bmi of 61 and a weight of 419 I am on a 6 month diet for insurance and I am down to 407 after just 1 month. Either way no matter what size if you work hard and have willpower you can be successful with lapband

I've actually been doing that for awhile since I started my process. It does seem to help.:tongue2:

Amen. I dont think race, religion, sex or anything matters. It's what they're doing for us!! I am a 100% Obama supporter. Love him to death and I will be so disappointed if McCain wins. We don't need another 4 years of what Bush did. :thumbup: I think everyone is giving Obama way too much trouble because he is black and has different beliefs. Why is everyone so against him it seems? No matter how cold I am or how cold it is outside I have to have ice cold water...I just can't stand lukewarm/ room temp water. Ewwy lol, I very rarely use the flavorings for water anymore, once in awhile I will get some green tea ones.:tongue2:

I was told it lasts a lifetime but even if it doesn't it's a risk I am willing to take to improve my health and be at a decent weight.

I'll have that occasionally but nothing like the constipation. I think I'd rather have water like stool than the pain of this LOL
