Try to drink slower, but the rumbling is normal. I still get it when I am hungry or when the stomach is empty. You are doing well after surgery walking 10 minutes is good each day you will increase day by day. Just take it one day at a time! Enjoy the holiday and take care of yourself.

Hello Josh, When I was in the hospital I was roommates with 19 year old. She was very nervous and scared also. After surgery, we would walk up and down the hallway (in pain but did what the doctors said). We had surgery on 3/17 and she is now down over 50 pounds. She works out everyday (started over 350 pounds) and enjoys life. Just remember you are important and this is for your future - you will do well. Just follow the program and you are on your way. Best!

Hello Better Me! I am so excited for you and your new journey! I wish you the best today and quick recovery in the next few weeks. It looks like you have everything in order just relax and take it easy over the next few weeks. Getting out of bed and getting out of a chair was the tough part for me, but not a lot of pain. Take care of yourself and welcome to the better you! -

Hello Judy, I have been where you were at just three weeks ago. I felt just like just giving up, but decided to call my nutritionist first and talk with her. Then moved up my appointment for another fill which was last Thursday. I told myself why I wanted the band then made myself a promise to go back to the basics. So I started with stage three after my fill and tried to stay with it then moved onto stage four for the rest of the week. Now back to stage five again last night I told myself is it worth it eating that (of course my mind said yes) but I get so tired of trying and not following through. So tonight I will make sure I exercise - I have tried not too (not good) but this part of my life was a struggle to exercise. I set a small goal if I don't lose a pound in one week after my fill I will start exercising. I get on the scale tomorrow, but I have decided I want to lose 100 pounds within the next two years. So today looks like a good day! I weigh 274.6 pounds in high school weight 300 pounds now I am 44 years old. We can do this please just take a few moments to remember why you went down this journey and regroup. We have all made mistaken and have went back to old habits and just said whatever. Just forgive yourself and start afresh today! Today looks like a good day for Judy and I can start again - the craving and stress will come but you can do it Judy! I wish you the best please just start again today forget about yesterday. -
Hello Cheryl, I also have low iron and my doctor told me they will keep an eye on it. I was banded on 3/17/08 and will be retested on 8/26/08 to see how my iron is doing, but they went ahead with the surgery, and doing fine. I do take a one a day vitamin with vitamin D also daily. I hope this will not change your date for surgery. I wish the best for you!

I was able to eat the frozen meals no pasta or starch just meat and vegs for dinner only. Good luck it will be over soon! -
If it continues please make an appointment to see the doctor you just never know. I rather check and wait too long if the pain continues - you only have one of you!

1 year and 1/2 ago I was with a company that didn't approve lapband and the insurance was Cigna. I started my new company in 7/24/07 and was banded 3/17/08 - I was not aware of the waiting period, but I asked my doctor for advice to assist in weightloss then he sent referral for me to Bariatric department and three 1/2 months later I had appointment for surgery. I had eight years of ups and downs with weightloss and weightgain. Please speak with your primary and check in with your insurance to ask all the questions to make sure everything is in place. I wish you the best on your weightloss journey!

Congrats - you brought tears to my eyes just hearing the news. If anyone have tried and wanted a child and waited and waited they would also understand the joy of those words! My son is now 3 1/2 years old and 41 inches and healthy and strong young man. Truly I am so happy for you and your weightloss success! Keep up the good work!

Hello Carol, I had the same problem for weeks now - I am scheduled for fill next week. I called the nutritionist and she suggest that I stop eating mushee foods (yogarts, pudding, apple sauce, soups sugar free of course) and focus on more protein to give me the feeling of more fullness. By the way I love that stuff when I just want something to snack on. I replaced it with peanut butter and four crackers, tuna fish, cheese, chicken chucks, and any protein I can get my hands-on. My eating was out of control for weeks so I put myself back on stage four for a few days and made myself go back over all the stuff they taught me about listening to my band. I eat a smaller salad with more protein now and I don't drink while eating I wait 30 minutes after she said to do to make sure I get full off of the food first then drink. I hope this helps I was just feeling terrible for weeks before I could get it together. We can do it!

I live in Massachusetts under my company insurance they would not approve it. I changed companies a year later with BC/BS and was approved. Stay with it and get all documentation you need to prove you need the surgery - nothing is impossible!

Hello I am not an expert by any means! I had the same problem recently (banded 3/17/08) and could never feel full or any restrictions. I called the Nutritionist on Monday and she reviewed my food intake and made several changes (I love apple sauce, smoothies, sugar free pudding) all the soft stuff for snack and she replaced them with a slice of cheese with turkey, peanut butter with four crackers, more protein to give me the fullness. The next day I tried it and now I feel the restrictions with my band. I am scheduled for a fill in two weeks to also help. If you have a Nutritionist please call her/him and check your food intake to double check. I truly understand how you feel and went through the samething for three weeks. Best!

Cindy, What I forgot to mention was my nurse go back to me yesterday and I made the changes and today was the first day I felt restrictions again. She changed a few things I was eating and added a few things so now I am feeling much better and able to feel full again. I should have called before, but just forgot all the resources I have. Thanks for the suggestion I did call and I feel the difference again!
