Hey you girls have it easy these days. I was dating in the late 80 ' s and in southern California. Everyone but me was a size 8 or smaller. My friends were all like 5 foot nothing and size 6. You don't even want to know about my shoe and handbag collection. That bad habit started because I was a fatty, too. I justified it because shoes and handbags fit no matter how much you over indulged the week before. I was devastated when I lost 110+ pounds because I lost a shoe size, too. Then I figured out that I can now fit into tall boots. Frye is SO thankful for my WLS. I loved their boots this past winter. Not sure about others but for me I'm married. My husband has always told me I'm beautiful. Unfortunately I haven't felt that way in a long time. He now tells me I'm beautiful and he is proud of me. He is happy I'm going to be around longer to enjoy some grandkids. I'm in my 40’s but what I have noticed lately is ppl talk to me more. My daughter has noticed, my son's have noticed and lol mu hubby gets jealous. which is really weird but great. Omg ladies, do we all have mom's like this? I'm 43 and my mom still treats me like I'm 16. Been married for more than 25 years and a mom for over 20 years. She always said eat less exercise more, you don't need surgery, quit being lazy and get up and move more. So many comments over my lifetime. I know she loves me but I never felt good enough. I told her a week before my surgery. I explained that I needed to do this for me and if she didn't like it, that was fine but that I was doing it regardless of what she thought. Surprisingly she was very supportive of my surgery and stayed at the hospital with me. Btw the reason for being so surprised is I have 4 children and 3 other surgeries and she has never been to any of them. Lol but she was there for this one. Year and a half later she is still supporting my decision and thinks it was a great idea. Tell her but be strong and let her know it's your decision to make. I so need help. I had surgery January 1,2015. Weigh loss has been very slow and now it down to none. Tired and depressed. I started at 298 and dropped to 285 before surgery. I started loosing my hair at six months after wls. I was fine with it at first, they warned me it could happen. I took biotin, I took all my vitamins. I still lost my hair. For 6 months I lost MY HAIR! For me it went down hill from there. I'm very glad to say it stopped at 12 months. Never had to wear a wig but darn it it was close. Thank you thank youIt's unbelievable how much better I'm feeling, just knowing there are others out there going through the same things. I've spent the last hour or so reading different post. I will find a therapist. Don't know why it's taken so long for me to get a handle on this. I always have to do it the hard way. Would love to be friends. Omg someone to talk to. My husband and kids just don't understand and I'm not joking. He brings me candy. My kids tell me I have cheated at loosing weight. They bring me candy. Thank you! I will try that and no haven't tried my pcp, I have hated going to the doctor for so long because they alway bring my weight into it lol calling me obese when I weighed 180lbs. Would love to be there again. I'm sure I will, thanks. I thought I was the only one going through this but after finding this app. I realized that I'm not alone. I'm sorry to say, I don’t know. I've gotten very depressed over not loosing and have quit keeping track. I quit working out, I'm trying to start again but other sure how. At least my hair has stopped falling out. I wish I had known about this site 8 months ago. The Doctors at Roller weight loss didn't seem to care. I tried getting help there without success.
