Just hit 100 lbs post op. Still a steady loss. I wish I would have done this years ago.

It's done...although with last-minute changes

Awesome job Porkchop. I love reading your updates. -
Just donated about a 3 foot high stack of pants and shirts. Got some Christmas pants in 42 down from 50 and some 2xlt shirts down from 4-5xlt, I even fit a regular 2x just didn't like the color so didn't buy it. New Year's Eve morning I was 300.0 on the dot. I even tried to take a quick lap around the block to drive it below 300 but no success. I figure tomorrow it will be new year, new starting digit in my weight. I've lost 120 pounds since starting insurance approval. 91 since pre-op diet, and 68 since surgery. It's been an interesting process. I still feel huge but seeing photos of myself over these holidays has been a revelation.

11 weeks out. Now at 309. Hoping to be below 300 by Christmas.

Just hit 5 weeks post op. Doing pretty well, down just over 30 since surgery. BMI just nudged under 40. Im happy with the weight loss, the psychological part is hard. Haven't felt like doing much of anything. Just work, exercise, go home until bedtime and sleep. Im hoping its just a hormone dumping issue. Anyone else have these problems?

I agree the preop diet sucks. You feel hungry but it is a great trend setter.

Thanks. Apparently I mistyped I am down 41, which is still good. I started similar to you. I was 391 then 368.5 at surgery, then 350 at the surgeons office at 2 weeks. I agree about staying off the scale. I am trying to go for once a week.

Two week post op checkup today. I'm down 51lbs since pre-op. Moving on to soft proteins and best of all back to the gym next week.

Thanks for the prayers and kind words. We got my daughter home today. About 12 hours before go time. Excited/nervous

Just about 40 hours until sleeve time. How am I spending it? Sitting in the PICU with my daughter. Not the best place. We should get released tomorrow. At least I have lots of ice chips available as I finish my liquid only preop doet.

Day 7 of my now 16 day Preop diet (surgery was moved back 2 days for scheduling reasons). I'm not really hungry but I am exhausted by the end of the day. After cooking dinner and getting the kids to bed I basically just fall in bed myself. I guess I get to look forward to this for a few months. On the positive side -12 lbs.

Just dropping in. Surgery scheduled for Sept. 27. Currently 390, was 430 as recently as a year ago. Im looking forward to getting through the initial surgery recovery etc. Ive been increasing the activity level over the last year, gym, running and Tae Kwon Do. I hope the break is not too long. I get itchy when its been too long.
