You are going to do great! As soon as the anesthesia doctor comes to see you let him know to give you something to relax. Second day feels rough but after that every day gets better! You are all correct.. I just need to let it go. I work with a small group, and I was completely open about my surgery as I figured I will obviously look different so why not be honest. I know how my company works, and I am sure she ordered them herself. Oh well, I was expecting flowers or something to brighten the day..... never expected food! @@smg I am doing very well. I have been sore, but today I feel pretty good. Trying to deal with the clear liquid diet. Looking forward to full liquids. I had mentioned it in my post, but it resolved the 2 bad day after surgery. Like others mentioned I think it was all the pain medicine in me. Today is my 3rd day out and I'm just very sore and slow going. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I had surgery on Monday at 8am and got home today. All went well, very little pain and luckily I have not experienced any gas pain. Getting my fluids in with no issues. I tried calling my surgeons office this morning but have not gotten a call back because he has been in surgery all day. I am currently in the 2 week pre-op diet phase and I have a terrible headache and need to know if I am allowed to take my imitrex. Does anyone happen to have experience with this? Thanks! I am allowed to have black coffee pre-op, and my MD said I can also have black coffee and tea post-op for the first week, and then I can add milk to it starting week 2

Hey all~ Anyone else have a surgery date of October 10th? I start my pre-op diet on Monday Sept 26th. It really does not sound to bad...I can have a Protein shake for Breakfast and lunch, and a salad with protein for dinner. I can also mix in things like broth, and Popsicle's. Would love to connect with others that have the same date! Nicole

Hey Everyone, I went for my pre-op testing this past Monday, which included LOTS of blood work. I would like to preface this by saying...I did place a call to the MD office, but have not heard back from them yet. It appears to my untrained eyes that I am quite Anemic, so I am wondering if this will improve with surgery, or get worse? Anyone have experience with this? Thanks!
