asmallerme2016 replied to asmallerme2016's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@maria1026 thanks for the tip. I was so worried. I figured first couple days because of pain and new stomach I would not be hungry but after I start healing would the hungry come back. @@Dub glad to hear that too. I saw your pic yesterday and you look amazing. Great job on your weigh loss. Truly an inspiration that this can be done!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Started 4/15. Surgery 4/29, 4 more days. 60 grams of Protein drinks which I'm drinks the Atkins brand. All the Water, crystal light, Gatorade or fat free broth I can handle. Day before surgery Clear liquids and no food or drink after midnight and can't even have water morning of surgery. I fell off the wagon a couple times and only lost 8 pounds so far. University of Chicago supervised weight loss
asmallerme2016 replied to Tracie Martin's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
I was with Northwestern and for 2 months and my insurance changed & they didn't take my new insurance. My friend had hers at Mercy hospital Dr. Rambo. I am now at Rush University Medical off of Taylor St. I love them. Way better experience and much more organized than Northwestern & Mercy. You have to see the NUT but I wasn't required to lose but to maintain, eat healthier and def not gain. Surgery is in 4 days. Good luck on your decision. Did you eat on the 2week liquid diet?
asmallerme2016 replied to beylove's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am on day 7 & cheated twice. Lost 7lbs so far. I am supposed to be on a 2 week pre-op liquid diet. Surgery is April 29th. I am so scared and nervous. I do good all day till time to prepare dinner and than I break. I am scared about my surgery but everyone else I know that was bigger than me didn't even have to do a liquid diet but used a different doctor also. So I decided starting tomorrow to not cheat. I have 7 more days. Hope I didn't screw myself up. Called the nut and she said since it was healthy choices I cheated with I'm Fine but I still feel guilty. Good luck! I am on a 2 week liquid diet and was told it was to prepare me for the 2 weeks post-op. Also to show the doctors I can do it. It is super hard I won't lie. I'm on day 4 of liquid, surgery scheduled for 4/29. Hoping I can make it. Didn't cut out the caffeine but after reading this I really should. Good luck!! Struggling truck driver post op
asmallerme2016 replied to LadiiReignBeau's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Subway you can get just chicken, tuna and ask them to put it in a bowl you don't have to get it with bread. Some truck stops have the Wendy's or mc d's ask for the grilled chicken no bun. All truck stops sell soup, just watch the sodium and drink lots of Water. Stop at a Walmart or before u leave home stock up on Protein drinks, fruits, yogurts (if u have a fridge). Until u get in the groove of the lifestyle u will feel numbed because eating fast food was so much more convenient but remember that is what got you here. Good luck!!!
