That's the powder I saw online. I want to try that to add to oatmeal and applesauce. Good to see a review! Thanks! Sent from my LG-H631 using the BariatricPal App

The struggle is real
Debbie915 replied to apmcleish's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I totally understand. For me it was the scary feeling I got after almost passing out in the shower. ???? That's when I kicked myself in gear. We have the will or we never would have done the surgery. Did you find any solutions for the constipation? Felt that for the first time last night after my first day of puree.???? Went back on Protein and liquids. But energy is much better. Let me know and I will be praying for you as well! ???? Sent from my LG-H631 using the BariatricPal App -

Definitely not alone. It's a change that our bodies couldn't have been prepared for no matter how much prep we went through. I'm struggling quite a bit with it too. So tired. Ugh. Keep me updated on you and I will do the same. Ashlie M Sent from my iPhone Well the last couple days have been better. After scheduling my alarm. Then my cousin came over and literally watched me drink one more ounce then usual. It seems that was the motivation I needed. I been pushing myself each time to just drink one more ounce. It seems to be working. Hope that helps. ???? I know we can get through this! Will be praying for you too as I often do for myself lol! Sent from my LG-H631 using the BariatricPal App -
Sorry to hear that. I found it getting better the last 2 days. My cousin came and pushed me to drink more than I have been. It seems thats the motivation I needed. I been gradually adding an ounce more of the premier Protein shakes than before and now the taste is not so bad at all. I have been looking for a powdered protein to add to my puree meals. I've gotten several suggestion here on BP. Just haven't felt well enough to go out and get it. I know we can get through this! I'll be praying for you as well! If you find any solutions please let me know. Blessings on your journey. Sent from my LG-H631 using the BariatricPal App

Hi. I'm not a sleever. I'm on my 3rd week RNY. I had that same pain on the left side. It was painful first couple days. I decided to take my pain meds religiously every 4 hrs no matter what. Near the end of my bottle I would wean myself to only when It hurt. Now it only hurts when I'm up too long or in the morning when I wake but even that is rare. Hope that helps. Good luck and blessings to all on their journey. Sent from my LG-H631 using the BariatricPal App

So what's the deal with fizzy drinks?
Debbie915 replied to MamaRhea's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi. I'm on my 3rd week post op. I have had no problems with gas as of yet. But in nutrition class I believe they said the carbon would be painful. Also the caffeine from sodas and coffee could cause ulcers. I chose to stop soda and caffeine all together for that alone. Once I stopped drinking soda I dropped 10 lbs quickly. I loved soda! Once I started substituting with Water, well now my body craves water. Hope that helps. Blessings to everyone on their journey. Sent from my LG-H631 using the BariatricPal App -

Anyone else scheduled for April 21st?
Debbie915 replied to missykaye74's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Lol! I'm 2 weeks post op and I did the same thing! Everything exactly the same! XD Sent from my LG-H631 using the BariatricPal App Yeah.. i am sure that my loved ones thought that i am going crazy lol I am a little calmer today... i think it truly hit me last night. This time tomorrow i will be a few hours out.. post op! Im in Australia so its 1pm here.... not long to go! How are you feeling now being 2 weeks post op.... any advice for a rookie? There really is no pain just some soreness. The hardest part is head hunger. But I remind myself it's only temporary and I also always keep the next stage in mind to look forward to. There is no real hunger. It's also a struggle with the liquid diet....and not in the way you might think. It's difficult trying to get the required amount down. I started placing an alarm on my phone to remind me to drink Protein, eat Breakfast and so forth. That was the best approach for me. Feeling very tired. Just taking a shower made me feel like I ran a marathon. But making sure to take my Vitamins and stick to the plan I'm slowly getting better. I did the dishes for the first time today, but I think I'm gonna milk that with my 16 year olds xD! I'm feeling much like a newbie myself but the best advice I find helpful is to remind yourself why you did it and know that each phase is only temporary. Good luck and God bless your journey! ;D Sent from my LG-H631 using the BariatricPal App -
