  1. Hello! I was sleeved on April 13! I'm trying to get a group of Boston people together to hang out , talk, swap stories, progress, recipes, etc. I've found since I had my surgery that a lot of my friends have become distant and stopped including me in stuff because they think I can't eat or drink. This app is great and all, but I figured a group meeting together sort of like our own support group, would be great! We could plan outings and stuff like that?! If anyone is interested, let me know!! Thanks Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  3. I was sleeved on April 13th , and lost 20 pounds as of two week post op visit. But since then , nothing . I'll lose 2, gain one , lose one gain 2!??? It's so frustrating! It seems like ever since I went back to the gym. I am still on stage 3, mostly mushy foods. I am eating under 1000 cals a day and burning way more as I have a very active job. This is what I was dealing with before surgery. I always had burned double the calories I ate and still couldn't lose! I'm getting around 90 plus grams of Protein per day as my nutritionist suggested with my more active life style . I'm not sure what to do next!!! Anyone else go through a long stall like this?? 3 weeks post op and stall

OMG!! I'm dealing with a 2 week long stall!! it's so frustrating! I was sleeved on April 13, and lost 20 pounds as of my 3 week post op visit , but nothing since! I'm being told by my nutritionist that 20 pounds in 2 weeks is a lot and my body is trying to catch up with this big change. But I totally understand your frustration!! I cry! Just stay off the scale !! That's what I have done. My clothes are looser, I feel great! I'm focused on that for now and praying this is JUST a stall. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Started my journey this week.

The exact same thing happened to me!! I brought my niece to an amusement park and couldn't fit in one of the rides . I was so horrified and embarrassed . That was the moment I knew I needed to do something. I'm one month post op and down 25 pounds. I feel great. I have been freaking out a little because my weight loss has slowed down a lot . But I'm gonna work harder and get there!! I'm going to California in September and going to 4 amusement parks and riding EVERY ride!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  11. I am 18 days post op and I am having poop issues. I have not gone in 4 days?! I'm eating mostly liquids and mushy foods but have had some soft fish. I'm getting nervous. Plus the scale hasn't moved in those 4 days and I'm sure that's why. Anyone else have this problem? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    No friends

I had my sleeve on 4/13/16. I never really realized how few friends I have until I started this journey. My husband has been amazing but he's pretty clueless when it comes to pretty much everything to do with the sleeve. I've been out of work and home alone for over 2 weeks and not one of my so called friends has stopped by to see me and it's so sad to me. When I get sad I would usually turn to food but since I can't , I don't know what to do. I'm 38 years old. I'm too old to make new friends. Even the coworkers that I've worked with for 16 years !! Not one of them has reached out to me. Well, just one has through text. But you get what I'm saying. I'm a great friend! I just don't get it?!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  18. Hi Kip. I also had my sleeve done on April 13th! I can't tolerate eggs yet. I use the EAS Protein powder which calls for 2 scoops. I blend it with 1 cup skim milk, some ice and PB2! It's very very filling. It does take me a while to finish it. That gives me like 27 grams of protein also. I haven't tried cottage cheese yet . I did order the proti Soups from the bariatric website and I will say the tomato and chicken are the best!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    So much gas pain!

Same thing happened to me. Had my sleeve on the 13th and came home on the 16th. Had the worst upper back pain !!! Nothing helped for the first few days . Just walking a lot I think finally broke up the bubbles. And I know this sounds crazy but I literally had my husband burp me like a baby. It totally helped. Just have someone burp you! 20. You know what's crazy?? I'm now 11 days out and I have been craving pickles for a few days now. I think it might be our bodies telling us we need more salt?? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. Ok so I was sleeved on April 13, 2016 and have had the worst upper body pain since I got out of surgery. My shoulders and upper back are so sore. I was told it was gas from them pumping it into my belly during surgery but it still hurts so bad. I have been walking and taking Gas ex strips but it doesn't seem to be helping?! It's also causing it to be very painful when I swallow anything! Almost like there's too much air in there ?!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
