Does sleep apnea delay the process?

Does sleep apnea delay the process?

I had one done on 7/25 I've been using a cpap machine for a month straight plus a couple of days. Anyway, I had 48 events per hour and I'm on an airflow of 14. This has not prevented anything in terms of surgery. I was told to bring the machine with me to the hospital. Business as usual... lol

    Diet visits done!

Congrats!!! I have Sept and October medical to go, then one last class and then I'll be scheduled. Time is moving quickly. I did gain 14 whopping pounds and it is not due to my diet. I have to get done to 259, when I started I was 253!! I've been f going from 267, to 263 and 262 and back up over and over for a month now!!!
  4. I was going for the sleeve but because of being a diabetic and having gerd, I'm going with GB. Generally, people with higher bmi's so go with GB or DDswitch. Mine is 42 so.... I definitely don't want to have worse acid reflux and I want the greatest chance of getting rid of diabetes. Plus, I hear about about a lot of people being revised from lap band or the sleeve to RNY and I don't want to have to get anything revised!
  5. I believe you have to have two or more co morbidities in order to qualify and have at least a bmi of 35 that's what my insurance policy states

    Why did you choose bypass?

@@dhrguru Congrats!! I'm going for RNY as well. I pray, I have no complications as well. I'm starting out at 255. I have diabetes, gerd, amongst other things so that's why for me. As I'm typing this, I remember you asked for personal experiences and I'm still pre op... Lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  8. @@ReneeOD your post is very funny and entertaining. I can see why this is a major concern of yours and I agree, most people do seem to lose their edge after losing weight..mmmm.. I'll have to read about the brain/gut connection more. I certainly hope this is not the case. Best wishes to you on this long and winding road! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    My surgery was Aug 1st

BTW along with many classes we were given a giant binder and all those rules are in that binder. I was mistaken by writing a "chart" hahahahahahaha Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    My surgery was Aug 1st

I see! At my office we were given strict instructions on what to and not to consume and how much depending on how far out we are. It sounds like you are doing the best thing. I know it has to be kind of scary. I'm still pre op so I can only go by what has been drilled into my head... Lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    My surgery was Aug 1st

Glad your surgery went well. That noise is from your intestines. I was given a chart and you probably were as well of how much food to eat or drink depending on your personal timeline. I would stick to that and drink Water thirty minutes later if you're still feeling hungry. Be careful not to confuse real hunger with head hunger, that can happen too. Best wishes.
