So yesterday I went to see my surgeon and give him all the results from the testing he order, also my psych evaluation and the letter from my pcm giving the ok, they said they are confident that is enough for the insurance to approve, they schedule a tentative day of June 10 for surgery and we should know by the end of next week ???????????? I want to be excited but then I'm like what if they say no, also having a surgery day is scaring me a little is happening so fast that is making me wonder if I will be able to go ahead with it. I know this is the best the thing for me I've tried for years to lose weight and I have, but it comes back, then I have the days where I don't feel like 230 is that bad I know it is, im 5'3 so that's a lot but I guess or at least hope I'm not the only one who has felt like this I hope the insurance does approve and I know I'll get over it just now my brain is running crazy ???? Hi everyone I wanted to know if you guys knew which number was submitted to the insurance, was it the weight from the first appointment with surgeon or the one right before it's submitted? I want to lose 20-30 pounds but I don't want to screw myself in the process if that would bring down my bmi and cause them to deny me. Update I saw my surgeon today he said they submit the weight that originally qualified you for the surgery also he said they don't make you get weight at the hospital I asked that because I read someone lost weight and surgery was canceled the day of the surgery but he said unless you go way under it won't affect it . I was super nervous mine was today however it went great he was so understanding and just wanted to make sure I knew that this is forever. Most of the questions I filled out before going in, have you been depressed, had suicidal thoughts, anxiety, things like that be honest in your responses and everything will be great also speak about the procedure so they know you have done research and is not something you are jumping into lightly. Hey guys tomorrow is my appointment with the psychologists and I'm nervous that I'm gonna say something to mess up and they will not give me the green light , this whole process is emotionally draining the insurance doesn't even require this but the doctor and hospital need it . I'm getting all the testing done now and they haven't submitted for approval yet I should be done in the next 2 weeks with all the testing hopefully they submit then, and as much as it feels like a waste since we don't know if we're approved at least I'll know everything is working fine lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

I'm at 40.7 bmi and can't go under 40 because I have no comorbities I have pcos which in part the reason I can't lose weight but not taken into consideration. My weight fluctuates between 230 and 225 I feel like I have to eat a lot or wear heavy clothes every time I go to my appointments it's annoying because at this point I just want to lose this weight. I go see my surgeon in 2 weeks by then I will have finished all the preop testing and psych evaluation, hopefully they are ready to submit. Sorry to hear you are finding a bump on this journey hopefully is nothing and you can go ahead as planned, it's probably nothing If you don't have the symptoms crossing my fingers for you. I had my labs done today they only took 5 viles of blood not too bad, also had my xray done . I have to call back tomorrow for an appointment to get the upper gi and I was also required to get an ekg. As far as a dietitian I haven't seen one yet the surgeon said they might be able to put in the ones I had a few years ago and the times I've seen him so Idk yet if is enough and when they will submit to the insurance in the mean time they have doing all the testing. Lol yes I do love food Mexican and Italian and both no bueno Mexican a lot of it is fried and oh so good and Italian well the Pasta is my weakness I have been able to give it up and lose weight last time I lost 45 on my own just to gain it right back I wasn't heavy as a child or teen after I had my daughter I got pcos and everything went down hill or better yet up lol its been 11 years of trying to lose the baby weight and then some and it always comes back I'm 5'3 230. I do feel you on the headaches so far I'm trying to do 1 soda every other day as I slowly leave it and water I have to have some flavor in it or I won't drink it unless I'm like super thirsty lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

I began my process in Feb and met with my surgeon this pass Thursday I was told insurance needs 6 months before they approve however my doc office counts the February appointment with my pcm the call from March to see the surgeon then that appointment plus hopefully I can get records from visits I had last year to the dietitian that would cover 4 months they want to try to submit with that and see what insurance says if they decline in would just need to finish 2 more months. I'm supposed to call and make my appointment for psych evaluation next week and I have physical with my pcm next week also. As far as food changes I think the hardest for me is giving up soda I'm not a big coffee drinker but soda is a problem I've done it before it's just hard , sweets I'm not a big fan so not hard there and carbs I'm not great at counting carbs so I have to really work on that. Hi I'm Ana 31 I just met with my surgeon on Thursday and looks like depending on what the insurance says we might be looking at an August day could be sooner but we won't know until things are submitted.
