How are you handling the pre-op diet?What pre-op diet are you following? I only have to do clear liquids for 3 days. But I have to replace two meals with shakes until then and my surgery date is June 6.I have to take 4 to 5 Protein shakes a day im allowed to have 4oz of chicken and 8 oz of clear broth plus all the zero calorie drinks i want . If she doesnt call you call her i was all up on my surgeons office they were taking their sweet time submitting my papers to insurance after hunting them down for a week they submitted Monday got my approval Tuesday and will have surgery June 4th you have to be very proactive with this good luck to you. I start my liquid diet Saturday i have to do 5 Protein shakes can have 4 oz of chicken and as many zero calorie drinks as i want also sugar free Jello and popsicles as well as 8 oz of low sodium chicken or vegetable broth a day . Got my approval less than 24hrs after it was submitted and just scheduled surgery for June 4th I'm excited and nervous all emotions are in full effect. Anyways what advice tips do you guys have to prepare like what to bring to hospital, which is the best Protein to get, Vitamin recommendations etc i start liquid diet Saturday since is only for a week . I am beyond annoyed and frustrated with my surgeon's office , I saw them last Thursday and was told they would submit everything either Friday or Saturday well I called the insurance Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and each time I was told they didn't receive anything I keep calling the office and they either say the case manager is in a meeting or out of the office well they finally called me back yesterday and said she submitted Wednesday night I was like ok I'll call to check Friday and guess what today insurance told me they have not received anything and that they usually see it in the system within an hour of receiving anything, so wth is going on??! why do they schedule my surgery and pre op appointment if they can't do their damn job, I know is not the doctors fault but this people are so inconsiderate I'm 3 weeks from what they scheduled and don't need this added stress ugh... Well today I called to check status and not even 24 hours later the insurance had approved the surgery now I'm waiting for the office to let me know if is gonna be June 10 or June 3 since that's what they submitted for I hope they call me soon or I will be calling before end of day lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

Good luck mine was last Thursday and I'm still waiting for them to submit the paperwork the insurance on the other hand told me once they do receive it it takes 3 to up to 5 days depending on the urgency code it comes with, i have United health care for military. This is Bs I wish this people would take their job more seriously is like we are just a chart one of the many that they have to work on to earn their money how dare we advocate for our selves smh .. I hope you have good luck getting this resolved soon I will be calling them tomorrow and everyday if I have to, the only reason I'm not at their office is that is 2 hours away but I might just have to if they don't answer me soon.
