I was 323 on the day of my surgery which was April 5, 2016, and the last time I weighed myself (October, 2016) I was 233. I go to the gym/hike, drink a ton of Water and eat very healthy. I will say that when someone compliments me about my weight loss my first reaction is always "really?!?", like I am shocked people notice. I don't know if that will ever change but I have never felt better.

People with high blood pressure
JillMB replied to JayVSG's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my surgery April 5 and am still on blood pressure medicine. I have lost just under 75 lbs and my Dr. has adjusted my medication since losing weight. I am definitely in the normal range (112/68) now and when I go back to my PC Dr. in October I will probably not have to take it anymore. I look forward to the day I don't have to take it anymore. -
I had my surgery April 5 and last time I checked I was down 50 lbs. I don't go back to my dr. till July 19 so I am anxious to see what progress I make in the next month. I also just broke out of a stall a few days ago but I have been drinking more Water and added bicycle riding to the exercise I have been doing.

I start mushy food today and I am nervous to eat which seems so silly, but here I am. Last night I went and stocked up on food my surgeon suggested for the mushy phase. One of the items I purchased was Bolthouse Farms Protein Plus (it has 30 grams of protein for 8 oz). Do you think this is okay to drink? It seems really thick so I am going to cut it with Water but was hesitant to drink it yet. Any feedback would be great.

For the first two weeks I was strictly on liquids, Jello and ice pops so yesterday was the first time I tried to "eat" anything. I am worried about getting enough Protein though and thought about going to GNC to get some Protein powder? I would use the protein powder in addition to the other food I have. I think as time goes on I will figure out what works and what does not. Right now I am confused about almost everything. I called my surgeons office yesterday to ask questions and I am still waiting for someone to call me back.

Thanks for the feedback.

This was the first surgery I ever had in my life which is probably why I am so unsure about everything I am feeling.

Ha! What a small world we live in!! Yes I did go in around 10 and have zero memory of anything except waking up in recovery. I'm sorry to hear you couldn't get your procedure done. I just wanted to make sure what I am feeling is normal and will go away in a couple weeks. I am glad I found this site.

I had my surgery on April 5 and at my last apt I was minus 16 lbs which I am happy with. The only issues I have are fatigue and a pain/soreness in my chest. Has anyone else had this? Is it normal? Of course my mind goes to the all the worst places and I make myself nervous.
